Welcome along…. Please note that we have been called F;#in crackers on occasions 😆
You`ll need good lights as well, at least 2-3hr burn time.

It was`nt too bad til half way round the 2nd lap. SSn you are either rolling it uphill or screeming downhill and there are alot of those in Whinlatter. The only bits it was really good on were the singletrack Altura sections.

When we have a bike/social we allways seem to end up in Tumors 😐

Guess we must be desperate by then 😉

I`m sure a couple of us locals would like to show you Skiddaw etc!

We usually go to the Bank Tavern after a ride, as there is a covered beer garden to stash our bikes. Food is good as well. 😛

No probs Jeremy….i did`nt mean to state the obvious !!!

BTW, One of our Tues possy runs a 1×8 and all he has is a fornt mech to keep the chain in place. Seems to work a treat.

I thought it was widley known that the front mech will struggle to drop the granny ring whilst under load. You always need to lift for a moment and it will go easily. Its all to do with the tension on the chain wrapped round the front ring.

I had a set years ago and they were excellent. Until the bike was nicked. They were the first hubs that you could take the cassette off with your bare hands. The machining was superbe and the anodised colour was lovley.

They must be better now as well???
