Watching the Tour d france a while back and riding over a plateau to get to the race route we went through a storm. Turned quite cold and we got wet, but thankfully we found a rest room with HOT WATER!!!!! and took shelter…
It was a little scarey as i was on a crabon bike…..Later when i looked on the map i found we were 4000ft!

If you work and do your best,
You`ll get the sack like all the rest.
But if you laze and bugger about,
You`ll live to see the job right out.
The work is hard, the pay is small, so take you`re time and sod em all.
Cos when you`re dead youll ge forgot,
So don`t try and do the bloody lot.

    OR….
    On your tombstone neatly laqured…these 3 words….

    JUST BLEEDIN KNACKERED!

    +1 with John Taylor…..4″, 5″, 6″….thats what its designed for right ❓

P.S. Ive thrown mine down most of what the Lake District has to offer and yes i may be 65kg but i dont ride it like Boris Johnson…(asuming he actually does ride a bike)…….

    and it`s fine.

    😉

You can`t get a 20t on a 4 bolt, the lowest is a 22t…Only the 5 bolt compact drive goes down to 20t.

I`m non too shabby on a bike 😉

My first tt on the Ridley after 10 years was a 24 dead, only a good minute off my previous average….I`d say that was pretty good.

Herman….the rear cable is now a lot shorter 😛

    No offence taken 😉

It just happens to match our team kit perfectly….. 🙄

But for the record, a lot more people like it then dislike it…..It`s all down to taste and everyone is different.

    Good job n`all 8)

Sounds about right. A normal road mech has a short jockey cage and will take a max 28t. You`ll need a medium cage mech for anything larger. Not sure if Red/Force do 1 or not, you may need to look at rival or the new apex.

Today was the 2nd outing on my new “Shrek” Trek along with a mate Trev..Its a long time since i did any real road stuff....We did 31 miles over 2 lakes passes, arguably the esaiest 2 but non the less. Dont know the total height gain but an average of 16 is`nt too bad.
Did strugle to keep with Trev for the first 20 or so, then got a second wind round D.water.

Can and will only get faster fitter etc ❗ 😉

    Ton ❗ ❓ ❓ ❓ 😳

Pardon me for asking…. but have i missed something ❓

Im guessing youve had issues of some kind ❓

FWIW…Long slow steady road miles will give a good base to work from.

Hope this helps, and its good to hear that youve recovered…..

When i sericved 1 of mine it was doing the same thing, even before i got it on the bike the freehub felt tight. It was simply that i hah`nt engaged the freehub body into the hub properly. It requires a little tap to seat it properly.

I had a Greg lemond TVT carbon (the origional bonded to alloy lugs) frame that was 19yrs old. It was still fantastic even though superseeded by the new ones.
Sold it on the bay to a retro collector…..

And a 16gm isnt quite enough for an MTB 2.35 tyre. It will get you home but itll be quite soft.
