I'm with sharki on this really , i had heard the name and had ridden it many times unknowingly, heard people talking about it as if it was the most tech thing ever, when i found out where it was i was a little disappointed, was doing it on a 5 in full suss mind. On a positive side it changes quite a lot through use and water errosion so it does keep you on your toes.

Water tightness, stereo and comfort arent much of an issue as an ex land rover defender owner. Although i am becoming interested in the lancia intergrale as it offers a greater opportunity for potential profit. The Gf hates it though and the elise is such a great car . Plenty more research i think

Thanks for everybodies advice , its a great help keep it coming

Thanks for the info , been playing the old autotrader game, idealy the plan is keepp it for a year and sell it on with out much loss, hence the S1 is closer to the bottom of its depreciation curve, I prefer the S1 styling as well. I have also been looking at a porchse 968 and a Lancia Intergrale evo. I have heard good things about the VX220 but after 2 vauxhalls it would be nice for a change. Defenitley going to take it to a track and the snake pass.

    Cheers

What is it about the s2 that you find more useable? Also would you go for a rover or toyota engine.

Yeah i have used quinn insurance , only had one claim and it was non fault, so cant comment on that but they have just sent my renewal quote and ive found it £250 cheaper elsewhere (hastings)

I toyed with the idea of a custom mtb frame , but decided against it as the benefits for me couldnt be justified by the cost, I think fit on a mtb is less important then a road bike were your doing 100 mile rides mainly seated. I have decided to put the money towards learning to build my own frames, It will probably cost around the same as a custom frame but tubesets are probably about £150-200 for 853 and you can play around with different geometry / sizing. You also get the pride of riding your own steed round the trails

Hora – use an impact driver , or pin punch even a small drill head to close the head around the allen bolt, trust me it works and will save you a few bob . Its easy

New Giant shop opposite cains brewery near the tea works, or Cotsworlds in town are the best options if thats your game.

Retrobike is the place to ask, maybe £200- £300 for the sts but dependant on condition, they were notorious for cracking though

Make sure you get the right sharpening tool for the job some tools are for single bevel knives and will not sharpen a double bevel knife very well.

Use a pin punch or impact driver to close the bolt around the allen key worked for me , after i tried cutting a slot in it to use a screw driver which after 1 hour of hammering left me with 3/4 of a mangled head. Good luck

hacksaw a groove in it and use a screw driver to remove next time

did that but recessed head meant it was a no go had to use impact punch to shrink the head.

Anyway got out on the bike and stacked it big time just got back after an hour pics later

Or tell me about flexibility , adaptability and future proofing in your schools, such as how easy is to move furniture around, provide individual and group learning spaces, create different size spaces for activities and the use of technology eg computers, electronic white boards etc…
