    C&A left the U.K. market in 2001

😯 I think my last suit was actually from C+A. Shows how out of touch with this bracnh of ‘fashion’ I am. Thanks for your suggestions above, although looking at such things depresses me. 🙁

if you are never going to wear any of this again you might as well spend the money in H&M and Uniqlo, you will at least look like you might have made the effort and will have spent very little

That is exactly what I’m aiming at. And Uniqlo actually do some really nice jeans, if you hunt a bit.

    Binners; you’re a ****. 😆

The question isn’t what suit, but what tattoo ….

😆 I dn’t have the guts (literally) to pull that off!

NEXT is a reasonable place to start. Personally I’d just go with a decent 2 piece suit and tie and save worrying about it

Yeah, a suit wold be ‘safe’, but would then sit unused in the wardrobe (I’m not planning on any regular court appearences for the forseeable future). I might just pop into the west end To see what’s what. C+A, Littlewoods and BHS shold have somethng.

    smart chinos

🙁 Ugh. You’re already putting me off.

no-one is going to judge you provided you don’t dress like a scruff

Forgot to add; the guests will moslty be northerners, with a fair few coming in from Newcastle, and many from ‘farming communities’, so I’d have to try very hard to look worse than some of them will probably look!

I bought a bike for £300 (massively reduced in a sale) for the frame, then spent at least another £300 (at trede prices) immediately to ‘upgrade’ it. It was stolen not long after. 😥

What time is the appointment? The tube isn’t so bad at off-peak times. Paddington is just a few minutes away from KX/StP. Then it’s a short walk/bus ride to Grays Inn Road. If he’s able to eat, you cold then take him to North Sea Fish on Leigh st, very close to StP/Euston, for top-noth fish’n’chips. 😮

Stoffel. Your retracted comment was along the lines of where should the Jews live.

No it wasn’t. Either you’re mistaken, or you’re lyin. I asked where ‘Israeis’ should live, not Jews. A very important distinction, as I’ve explained above. Why are you trying to twist things?

As far as I’m concerned, Jews should be able tolive wherever they want, as should anyone of any other religion or otherwise. I don’t subscribe to any ideology that claims a historical ‘right’ to live inan area to the detriment of others, as zionists do. That zionism is being used as a cover for the west’s need to have a nuclear arsenal and massive military presence right next tothe ‘unruly’ Arabs (and all that ooil), is abhorrent, and something that should be challenged.

Good article on BBC news just now. Of course, the zionists will laim the BBC is biased, but the pictures tell their own story, that of one side exercising overwhelming power over another.

Stofel you retracted your comment to which I responded.

That coment, which was in response to Ernie Lynch’s comment about his hatred of Israel, was ‘where do Israeli people have the right to live?’. I have no idea why you’re invoking the Holocaust; thats a very low and disrespectful move. Shame on you. All people have the right to live somewhere, and ‘Israelis’ aren’t just Jews. Which you of course know. But maybe it suits your zionist agenda to ‘play the Holocaust card’ as somene else put it, to defelct criticis, and be a justification for zionim. Again; shameon you.

You don’t half speak some bobbins.

Any kit lasts for ages if it is looked after. Sora last no less or longer than anything else. It is heavier for sure – no argument. But there is no ‘or wears out quickly’.

No need to ask for my credentials either on this. Save yourself the time.

😆 There are some very touhy people on this forum!

In the 25+ years of messing about with bikes, it’s been the higher end stuff that invariably lasts longer (or used to; some current stuff seems a bit flimsy really). I had someSora sti’s that lasted about 4 months before faling to bits. And Sora mecs wear out and get sloppy a lot more quickly than Dura Ace; my DA RD7700 is about 11 years old now, and showing no signs of sloppiness. show me a Sora (or equivalent) that’s lasted as wel. You’ll find plenty of older DA and Ultegra stuff for sale, for good reason. It lasts.

We’ll agree to disagree. Internet truce.

I think a lot of experienced mechanics etc will disagree with you. And I have no idea why I’d need to ask for your ‘credentials’. But enjoy your sora kit. 😉

    More:

    http://www.alternet.org/world/veterans-israeli-defense-forces-speak-out-atrocities-gaza-and-occupied-territories

“Israeli naval blockades stop Gazans from fishing, a main source of food in the Strip. Air blockades prevent freedom of movement. Israel does not allow building materials into the area, forbids exports to the West Bank and Israel, and (other than emergency humanitarian cases) prohibits movement between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. It controls the Palestinian economy by periodically withholding import taxes. Its restrictions have impeded the expansion and upgrading of the Strip’s woeful sewage infrastructure, which could render life in Gaza untenable within a decade. The blocking of seawater desalination has turned the water supply into a health hazard. Israel has repeatedly demolished small power plants in Gaza, ensuring that the Strip would have to continue to rely on the Israeli electricity supply. Daily power shortages have been the norm for several years now. Israel’s presence is felt everywhere, militarily and otherwise.”

It’s the same thing being said over and over again by the same anti Israel people

I can’t speak for others, but I’m not ‘anti israel’, simple anti-zionist, anti-murderers, anti-evil. And I think it’s important for such debates to be let to run, as then we can get a good picture of what all sorts of people really think. No good keeping quiet and hopin it all goes away. Even if we can’t do anythng, we must still engage wth the issues.

if a first world military machine wanted to inflict terror without giving a **** for any civilians, as you have claimed – then they could have some real fun couldn’t they

This is an interesting read (amongst many, many pieces like it):

    http://electronicintifada.net/content/israeli-soldiers-expose-atrocities-gaza/8146

“The atmosphere in general, from what I understood from most of my men who I talked to … I don’t know how to describe it … The lives of Palestinians, let’s say, are very, very much less important than the lives of our soldiers. As far as they’re concerned, that’s the way they can justify it.””

The cameras must use some sort of mechanical stabilisation to counter the vibration of the chopper, but maybe software ‘stabilisatin’ is also used. Iknow what you mean though.

Socks and Sandals are a brilliant combination for comfort.

Bollocks to what it looks like…..Bit insecure are we ?

    😆

Touchy! The pint of sandls is to let your feet breath and be comfortable. Wearing socks with them defeat this purpose. nd looks crap!

how on earth is that a foul on the keeper?

Because the keeper makes contact with the ball before they collide. Higuian was always going to be second best in that race, and arguably should have puled out to prevent possible injury to Neuer.

You know, theres probably some middle ground between the two extremes, non?

This is the IDF we’re tlkingabout, so, no. Their actions are indefensible, and designed to inflict maximum terror. Their claims of ‘collateral damage’ are insulting to humanity.

Most of rthe shoes mentioned above are for old men, to wear with socks and shorts which pul up just below the nipples. Either wear proper sandals, or don’t bother.

Really? Because if so then they’re extraordinarily crap at their job – 1300 plus strikes in one of the most densely populated parts of the region, with less than 200 people killed total

Christ almighty; you think those 200 lives don’t **** matter? 😯 And this, in spite of the warnings? Surely, confirming target sites were clear of people first would be doing the job ‘properly’? Are you another apologist?

its still clear that a deliberate effort has been made to minimise casualties.

No there hasn’t. The IDF have been as ruthless and indiscriminate as anyone can, and don’t give two **** for any civilians. Because if they did, they’d stop the airstrikes and simpley defend thmselves with the iron dome. They really wouldn’t have to do very much more, as Hamas/Islamic Jihad etc imply don’t have the resources to inflict much damage. If Isreal was genuinely concerned what th world thinks, then they’d do everything they could to gain suport. They aren’t, that’s patently ovbious. And those who support them don’t either.

One glimer of hope is that the Chinese, set to become the next dominant superpower, don’t seem to be particularly sympathetic towards Israel, and don’t recgnise Hamas as a ‘terrorist’ organisation as do many western antions. And with a lot of Chinese money invested in the Arab world, China could come to consider Israel a nuiscance and hindrence to economic progression, and act accordingly. Israle would be wise to take note.

Because they don’t care about Palestinian civilians…

The more Palestinian civilians that die during this round, the happier they will be.

If this were true (which it’s not, just more zionist bullshit), then surely ordinary Palestinans would make attempts to prvent ‘Hamas’ members from dong so. Truth is, that Palestinains are so desperate that they feel they’ve got virtually nothing to lose, and attacking Israel is a last act of desperation. Hence, Hams gets every support ordinary Palestinans can give.Becuse at the end of the day, Hamas is made up of ordinary Palestinans driven by fear, despertin and hatred of the oprression they suffer every single day of their lives.

TomW1987: why exacyly are you defending Israel? What are your reasons? Beacuse I’m struggling to think whay any decent-minded indivdual with a reasonable awareness of the real situaion, would do so.

Stick it up in the garden/back yard/wherever, spray it with mould spray stuff, leave in the sun for a few hours. Then stick it in the washing machine if it’s a small one, or sponge it down with some bathroom cleaner spray or similar, and leave to dry. Make sure it’s absolutely bone dry before you pack it away again though. And clean any storage bags/sacks.

At the begining of last season, I ws chatting to an Arsenal fan friend of mine, about the Suarez bid. He claimed that ‘that was jus at actic to unsettle Suare and Liverpool’ and how the y’didn’t need Suarez, we’ve got Ozil instead’. I must have another chat with him soon..

15 year old Dura Ace is far better than Sora!

Agreed. It’s far better quality. I’d rather buy good condition second hand Dura ace than any new 105 or even Ultegra. Sora is cheap, low quality stuff that is heavy or wears out quickly. Older Dura Ace, is looked after, willlast for ages.

There will be some crazy money signings this summer, that’s for usre. Man City are about to sign a defender hardly anyone’s ever herd of, for £32 million:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28280454

And Arsenal always have a snaky move up their sleve; Joel Cambell could come into the squad, andMan utd fans will know how dngerous he is:

There’s talk of Juve signing Paulinho from Spurs, as a replacement for Vidal, which seems a bit mad to me. Man Utd would be laughing to swap Evra for Vidal, especially for just £30! 😀

I found some spare 20″ presta’s for my kids’ Isla’s in a supermarket in France. Not so rare over there

😮 I hopey ou stocked up! I don;t understand why anyone would faour presta valves over schraeders, on a kids’ bike with low prssure tyres. Seems daft to me.

Anyone with a 24″ wheel Islabike; drill the rims out t accept schraeder valves, as the presta valved 24″ tubes the rims on those bikes are driled for, are as rare as hens’ teeth. Far more schrader valeved tubes available.

Before I get roasted by the forum, I have asked myself why my kids should be less of a legitimate target than kids in Gaza.

No-one at all here has said that. So don’t try twisting things to suit your own perspective. We’re against ALL needless killing of ALL innocent peole. And that includes Israei children, even those of far-right extremist zionists.

I wonder what the Palestinian children ask their parents, when they are forced from their homes, when the zionist buldozers come, when Israeli soldiers beat people up, and point guns at them. What do they say, when white phospohorous is used to bomb their shool? What do they think, when F-16s send smart bombs inot heavily civilian populated areas?
