I’ve just watched the official video, I see what you mean about the stadium. If your at the front of the race the stadium is very quite, but fills out as more people finsh. There is a big clock just behind the finish arch. They cant have a huge arch as they are not allowed to go on to the pitch.

I’m sure its not as pretty a York, but not many places are going to be.

The first 6 or 7 miles are on closed roads, then it goes on to the Redways around the outskirts. Suppoert is patchy.

Depends where your coming from, I’m sure there is better.

It is very well organised though

I quite like the stadium finish, but i’m biased as i live here. I’ve not read the reviews. What did they say?

I did the Great North Run last year because everybody said how great it was but personally i found it one of the most boring courses that i’ve run. Its all dull duel carridgeway.

I’ve Mk Marathon a few times. I’d say its quite a nice course, only one climb in it really but its not huge. Manchester marathon is changing next year to take out a bit of up hill, so it’ll be even flatter and faster plus its usually a reasonable temperature. A lot of people use manchester to go for a Good For Age time to get into other major marathons.

Do it properly and you can do it for £200 per camera wired easily. Look up LTS CCTV cameras and recorders. Great quailty and decent warrenty.

Just drill straight out the back of the backbox, its screwed to the brickwork so i cant see why anything would be behind it. Youd be very unlucky to hit something in the cavity.

Exactly the same happened to me a month ago. Still no idea where the security breach was from.

If you can reset the system after triggering an internal alarm, changing a pir shouldnt be a problem. Some detectors have built in jumpers to select the EOL resistance others can have them added individually. Best bet is take the lid off and take a picture of the wiring code and/or resistors, then go about changing them. Can highly recommend the Bosch Blue line Gen2 Tritech detectors, they pick up nice and quick and can be used for animals up to 42kg.

Chances are the battery is knackered. Power it down, mains and battery.
Then power it up on mains only, should sort it. Sometimes they lock up if the battery gets too low. You can then reconnect the battery, it may charge up fine, best to check it after 24 hours.

I’d say lack of food/energy. I recently ran an ultra and struggled for the last 20K, the only solids i could eat was wet fruit ie berrys n watermelon. I think if i was able to take on proper solids i would of felt better and kept it moving.

Im sure you can get HDMI over powerline, so if you have a spare socket behind the tv and tivo box that would save you running wires.

Look for NEET on amazon. They do HDMI over cat5 adapters, works perfectly if you have a cable route.

As above really. Main panel battery will probably need changing, the voltage maybe ok but its the amps in the battery that matter. I havnt seen an outside sounder with a replacable battery in years, usually they are soldered on to the main circuit board.

My advice would be start using it and see if it false alarms, it will give you an indication of any problems, then replace as nessessary.

I’m in MK aswell, so i’ll keep an eye out. Might be worth joining a few facebook selling pages, there’s always a few bikes being sold by the same people.

    Hope you get them back.

You’ve blown a fuse in the control panel, usually a 1 amp quick blow. Sometimes theres spares in the panel.

    Easy fix

pop the plastic covers off an throw in the bin
undo 2 pozi screws and take lid off
internal sounder will go off, just enter your code
fit new battery available from any electrical wholesalers
    put back together press reset
should be good to go, very unlikly you would need an engineers code.
if you did need an engineers code its not a hard panel to default and reprograme.

including single electrics for £350 on saab estate
around the milton keynes area. The fitter said a fixed one was about £150 cheaper.

if you dont have it monitored anymore it shouldnt make any difference if you disconnect the line for a while. It may throw up a line fault on the keypad but this should clear when you reconnect it. Be aware some companys leave systems as engineer reset for certain faults, normally these would be turned off on the service after terminating the monitoring but some just dont bother so you have to call them out to reset the system. What control panel is it and what company?

What there saying is true, to a point.
You need to contact you central station or the police to find out if they’ve cancelled your URN number. If they havent cancelled it yet there is no need for a new system. I think you can transfer the URN to another company. However if they have cancelled it you would need to upgrade the equipment to a graded system, depending on how old the system is it might be already graded or parts might be.

What panel is it and how old is the system?
