James Corden can act, can present and got a deserved kicking for the bad stuff he did. Not a great favorite of mine, but respect.

Miranda, need to see her do more than one thing, being laughed at for being tall and awkward.

Re the OP, Not good. But really only one side of the story presented by a website which might just have an axe to grind…

Carpal Tunnel or Neck. Or other stuff too…

Nowhere near enough info here for anyone to make a dogmatically certain diagnosis, and then trash others opinions and treatments. It must be good to be as certain as some STW therapists…

Mojitos, Warsaw Pact, margarita, martini, espresso martini, In fact anything clear or classic.

Having said which, who cares… Go for it. A decent mango daiquiri is rather nice.

I’d probably avoid cosmopolitans till people forget about sex and the city. Don’t, repeat, don’t order the cocktail named after the bar you are in, unless it has been adopted world wide. Done this too many times. They are always awful.

And yes, Bloody Mary , but only if they do have celery salt.

It’s a great spectacle. And so is WWE wrestling and NFL. Great efforts and performances, not “fake”, people in pain, at their limts. But it’s a show. That’s all.

Until the UCI clean the house and move from damage-control to really making clean riding a crusade it is very difficult to take it seriously…

Anyone who really believes all riders are now clean after what we have seen in the last 20 years is as hopeful as a husband dropping his avowedly faithful wife off to work at a whorehouse.

It will take years of clean racing to get me to watch it again. This isn’t about emotional investment or baggage. I have believed LA was doping for many many years, and still watched the TdF. I just think that 100m sprinters should genuinely be the fastest, and Tour winners should genuinely be the best all round athletes in the race, not the people with the best drugs.

one of my favourite covers. The video – if you know anything about him – is almost too much. Heartbreaking.

Spent some of last weekend trying to get my partner to see it.

Having said which – surprised no one has posted the other famous cover…

Anyone else think that number is spectacularly dubious?

I live in the South East, I know estate agents. I think it’s rubbish.

The number is for people engaged in “Real Estate Activities” btw. Anyone find a definition?

    The site’s good

    The art is just fantastic

Saw the Peter Doig show in Edinburgh a few weeks back which was a real eye-opener. Now this. Just awesome.

    Totally gobsmacked.

I love my kids to bits – one getting close to Uni now – but I’d want them to be out there exploring life and living on their own/with other people by 25. Otherwise I think they’d be stuck, missing out, pissing away their youth.

Yes in Italy things are a bit different (Google Mammismo). But even there parents are having to buy their sprogs flats to get rid of them.

The best thing would be to never hear of him again. Any film which doesn’t concentrate on him being a self-serving hypocrite and bully would be wrong.

But it won’t be that – will it?

Didn’t speak to my dad for 25 years. We didn’t really even fall out. He got in a snit about something and I couldn’t be arsed to contact him, and apparently he felt the same. It was no great loss, and seeing him again does not fill a great hole. The last event in a relationship often seems trivial but is just the final straw.

Well done for saying you will contact them, but sounds like you do need to tell your mum what she is doing and what the end results will be. Being a parent isn’t a licence to be a jerk.

And for the OP – referring to your remarks in your first post – the big planes don’t need all the runway they use at LHR for take-off. They do derated take-offs at less than max engine power to preserve engine life.

Driving is a privilege, not a right.

How are you going to feel if he kills someone?

What would you do if you saw him waving a gun round in the street?

Having said which, this time round I’d report the car, not him, and get it off the road and crushed. Unless it is SORNED, in which case someone needs to dob him in, or tell him they are going to.

    Sorry

The NHS is too big a train set for politicians to resist playing with it.

Funding has stood still but numbers of people in the UK, ages of people, costs of complying with CQC standards have all gone up. It’s a real terms drop.

We have had a local service provided by virgin. It’s been awful and is only now reaching acceptable. Their response has been to deny there is a problem, then blame other people and complain about those who complain about them.

Don’t expect private care to be cheaper or better. Which is a shame. I’d really hoped it would achieve something.

2 yrs ago the NHS was doing rather well. Now it’s heading downhill

I’d send it back. But that’s about personal morals, and how I’d like to be treated in return.

But it isn’t always easy. I tried returning some batteries purchased off a trader who used “fulfilled by amazon” where amazon had sent out 80 rechargeables instead of 8, and only billed me for 8. The trader was very appreciative. Amazon were a bunch of obstructive twunts.

Her first husband was a brilliant man, loved reading anything he produced. The diary of his struggle with cancer was very moving and amusing in equal measure.
Saachi is a much lesser man, IMO.

    Glupton. Well good for you.

But 2 posters have told you that the approach which works for you doesn’t work for them. Different people need different approaches. Trashing other evidence based options isn’t helpful. So don’t you make the assumption that what works for you is the only valid approach.

    Pretty poor.

OP , good luck. Ignore Glupton. Good luck. Must be horrible. I’m out.

Forget all of that stuff that people have written up there. Just go out and do some exercise. Clinically proven to be just about the best treatment.

    🙄

Just because you might know a fair amount about a tiny area of health doesn’t give you expertise about others and justification to bad mouth others. Someone with a hammer to whom everything looks like a nail is not good for patients.

OP: It’s a recognised feature of GAD. Look at CBT and the other approaches suggested above.

I don’t generally like tats, but I think that one is a really lovely piece of art.

Strange thing to say, but I think it probably would be diminished in impact by having lots more elsewhere. But ink afficionados will disagree.
