No pic but I've got 17 degree on a SS and they're great … don't feel stupid wide either, perhaps that's the backsweep at work.

Aye, if they're the same as Azonics they'll work well and last years … mine are still going strong after 7 years.

Marin Rough Ride was a couple of weeks ago … perhaps it was that. If it was then he's obviously having trouble with the whole, points of the compass thing 😀

What year Taylor? … this years event isn't until September, although I'm sure you're aware of that 😉

I've just finished putting together a monster cross bike using a Haro Mary frame. The short tootle round the yard would suggest it's a winner … sorry can't do picky linky thing.

I'm not too sure 43 bikes will fit in a Luton van, if you pile 'em high and don't worry about scratches and scrapes then you might be ok … I'd certainly be wanting a trial run.

Use a dry bag lashed to your bars. 13l should take sleeping bag and bivvy bag, if you need a second one fasten that to your seatpost. Might be back in stock at http://www.alpkit.com

if that doesn't appeal, then as cynic-al says try http://www.carradice.co.uk you'd pretty much get everything in a Super C saddle bag.

Regarding route, there's only one way up Cadair by bike. Start from the south and follow the pony track.

Aye, I'd not believe the temp rating … any down bag with an extreme rating of -9 is going to cost you more than £37!

Remember the extreme rating and comfort rating are 2 very different things … extreme means it might just keep you alive (or not).

I shall be instructing a group of women in the art of not crashing and hopefully riding things they wouldn't have attempted before … in the welsh sunshine 😀

Good luck to everyone riding … particulary Aidan.

More than enough to keep you busy at CyB for a day … I like the MBR but everyone's different. Can't really say about Llandegla as everytime I've been it's snowed but I'm confident someone will be along shortly.

I'll teach you how to say the place names if you like and see you in July 😉

I've just been looking at the Gryphon and as much as I like the look of it, there's no rack mounts (from what I can tell) and they don't do a small … 5'7" same as you Matt so if I go the Fargo route it'll be a 16".

Don't have to be chrome … I just thought if a pair didn't have a logo it'd be the chrome ones. I'll take a look at the carnegies again. I did see them on crc but there didn't seem to be any way to order the flipped version, perhaps its changed.

Ta, I was hoping they wouldn't have, so wouldn't look upside down when flipped.

I'll have a look through some back issues, ta. I remember Chipps going on his trip but kind of forgot what he went on.

Pony path splits … from the south it's bridleway to the top. From the north it's footpath until it meets the bridleway.

There's only one way up and down by bike … pony path.

5'7" and I ride a 16" which Genesis say is xs … saying that I do like small(er) frames.

Terrahawk … think you might be talking about another event. This is the 'Welsh Ride Thing' not the Big Welsh weekend.

Trust me not much chance of owt getting stolen from here … you've got to find the place first, then get past the llamas 😀

Dee's been to the post office this morning so everyone who won a raffle prize but wasn't here should have it within the next couple of days.

There is indeed a ban. No bikes on the mountain between 10.00am and 5.00pm.
