Still having a mess around with a route, don’t expect anything too taxing. SS should be fine but I think I’ll be using a selection of gears … but I could easily change my mind yet 😉

I’d considered A+E but it’s a 100 mile round trip so I’m trying to hold out. I’ve just put a support bandage on it and it does seem to be helping … I’ve managed to type this (one finger) with my right hand 😉

Wasn’t the thinking behind the SS … the very slack HA allowed you to run shorter forks than you would on a 456?

Much of what you read indicates that people are sticking long forks on SS, which is sort of missing the point 😉

The site will not require to display all 10,000 products at once. It’s not too different to Chain Reaction Cycles, in the way it will work and display (they have bulleted text). I don’t think I’m asking for the moon just some text to display in an orderly fashion – so why is it called an unordered list? That question is rhetorical 🙂

I nearly always run different pressures F+R … also quite often run different tyres, sizes, models and brands.

Won’t a persons make up effect what cadence works best, ie, do you have slow or fast twitch muscle fibres?

Fast twitch = Spinner

Slow twitch = Pusher

I know I’ve got slow twitch muscle fibres and I find that on a long ride I get much more tired spinning a low gear than I do pushing something a bit harder at a lower rpm.

I belive where we’re heading was the last place in the Uk to lose its population of wild wolves … luckily Dec 5th is a new moon though!

I’ve managed a few DoE gold cycle expeditions in the past. Really does seem to be of benefit to those taking part (although they might not see it at the time :wink:) certainly great for me as I get to do nothing but ride my bike all week … saying that I get to ride my bike all week, every week anyway.

Just be very honest and explain what you belive the benefits of taking part will be. They’re very keen on the whole team aspect, so perhaps drop that in too.

Ambrose, a few lengths of shock cord might prove handy. I find some loops of elastic shock cord tied to the corners and sides of the tarp for the paracord to fasten to helps you get a tighter pitch.
