Candodavid: it’s an AM9, X44 Headtube and a Columbus backend, slacker and built for a 120mm fork 😀

The hollowed out skin of a freshly baked jacket potato makes an ideal testicle warmer for chilly Spring mornings. Thanks STW from 3 years ago 😆

Apparently Curtis have never had a fillet brazed 853 frame fail.

Definitely feels steel, 853 front end with a Columbus 29er specific rear, cherry picked tubes or what? Head angle would not be not be a problem, shorter stays might be. They are however coming out with a 27.5 frame with 425 stays and a 68mm head angle. Talk to Gary, he’s a top bloke.

Static with 120mm forks: 68.3 head angle, 73 seat angle, 435mm stays, it’s great fun to ride and now my only bike! It’s going to be a model called the AM9.

I started racing at 48! In Grandads err Grand Vets now, I’m amazed at how fast some of these old fellas are, I’m mid pack and just enjoy getting out there and it makes me work on my fitness a bit more.

Aren’t you meant to signal with the appropriate hand to the person behind which side you’re gonna snot?

I’ve just discovered RSP FTW’s, they’re super slim, light as and relatively cheap. No bling factor but i’m impressed so far. Only had them about a month so they might disintegrate next week!

I have 95-120mm Talas and have used the 95 setting only once on a steep climb.

I often go on my own at night to Swinley, park near the church and that way Labyrynth is almost your last trail.

I’ve gone for a Talas 120-95mm, perfect, I think there was one for sale in the classifieds too.

I was there earlier too, very little open (including the great bit by the reservoir that we call Gold Blend), bumped into some other riders who were told by a ranger to ride what they wanted!
    I didn’t.

S1400 does have a removable spider, X9 is a more machined version of the same.

At the stupidly wet Gravity Enduro at Coedy last year the bloke with the biggest grin (and beard) was on a fatbike!
