IIRC its so you can keep the rear brake covered while indicating you’re turning right across the traffic. I think its the same in other LH driving countries.
You also need to bear in mind that tech descents feel very different when rested and fresh compared to when you have been riding at 95% MHR for an hour.
I’ve gone back to hardtails, mainly because of maintenance and also where I live (southeast). I got a bit fed up with play developing in bearings and bushings etc…
Had mud tyres on for the last one and didn’t regret it, depends if there’s a deluge beforehand and if you’re racing early or late. Too early to tell IMO, wait til the day before, then decide.
Proper mud tyres, always kept the same tyres on year round then heard good things about the Maxxis Beaver, gave them a go and now have fun in the mud! 🙂
Just got back, loved it, so many trails! It was all about the reds for me, blues were a bit too kitty litter. Vicious Valley and Bonneyville (it was dry) were my faves. Thanks for all the heads up on what to ride. 🙂
