I liked Cloverfield but was disappointed with District 9, how weird am I?

Good work! A lot of effort went into that.

Yup, I run 2.3 Eskar front, 2.2 Captain rear, good combo.

I've gone from 2.25 Advantages to Eskar front and Captain rear and loving it, the sidewalls were destroyed on the Advantages but seem to be holding up well on the Spesh.

I have Pikes at 120mm on mine but if I had the money I'd put 120mm Maxle Rebas on. I'd have a look at the imminent 15mm DT Swiss XMM120's too.

Get more weight over the front? Get rid of some spacers maybe?

Mine were disintegrating a lot, then I stopped using Muc-off and they've stayed in one piece ever since.

Check all your leaf springs are in one piece (after a soggy winter they can disintegrate).

I'm down to just my Soul. I do have a crappy pub bike though if that counts.

I'm a recent convert to Spesh tyres, I run a 2.3 Eskar on the front and a 2.2 Captain on the rear. Love 'em, they're big!

I'm just under 6 foot too, medium with coil Pikes at 120mm most of the time, I do like dropping them if doing a long climb though.

Sorry I've just got in from work, I find the carbon post a lot more comfortable than the thomson I had before, the thomson was great on the full suss but the carbon just seems to take the edge off the err 'judders' a bit. Sorry I've been to the pub so probably don't make a lot of sense 🙂

    09 Soul
    Coil Pikes (at 120mm)
    Pro 2's with 5.1's (10mm back end)
    Mono mini's
Carbon seatpost (bit of a revelation that one!)
    XTR cranks, Xt everything else
    Swifter than a greasy goose
Used to have a full suss as well but didn't need it for where and how I ride :-), gets used for everything except riding to work.

Had both and prefer the coils.

Bfe is built stronger and stiffer and can take a bigger fork (uses less 853 as well).

I had the same problem with a bloke from Italy that I sold a frame to (he was claiming allsorts of bogus damage). Stood by my guns and ebay backed me up. Be super helpful and informative when dealing with ebay if it's turned into a dispute, you can phone them too.

Sorry to hear it got nicked but if it's any consolation a friend of mine is flogging his barely used last model 16" Patriot frame (DHX Air) in orange. Email me and I'll put you in touch.

Having had marillions of bike frames in my time my quest is finally over with my Soul and Pikes.
