I sometime wish I had the chance to go to university but due to reasons beyond my control I couldn’t, so I opted for ther work hard route.
As others have said, a degree will get you a few rungs up the ladder but hard work can get you higher (and being sneaky).

It used to be implied as a very racist term but has kind of lost its meaning due to most westerners using it as a term of reference for themselves, I guess very similar to Gweilo here in HK or the N word in the States.

In relation to these 400 americans have more ‘wealth’ than 150 Million of the poorest rants, it would be interesting to see how that works out in other countries, just as a reference to see how the percentages work out, does anyone know?
I would guess that the percentages work out worse in say Russia, Africa or South America (i.e. wealth distribution per population).

Edit: I found this on Wiki but I am not sure how reliable it is and I am no financial guru, but based on this chart the US is just behind China and India in wealth distribution.

Its 23k for the carbon frame (Alloy frames also available) minus their standard discount or 10% or more if you can get it!
They also do finishing kits of various spec’s, the XT Race kit is 13k and that gets you everything bar some forks, dropper seat post (a Thompson post is supplied with the kit) and pedals.

MB and Ska – I think they take 29″ers as the local bike shop I buy them from use them to stand both 26 and 29 bikes. The guy who bought the Blur insisted the deal rested on taking the stand too!

Tom – prefer the brushed ali look as I think it ages better that the black coated stuff.
br – most of the components on the Blur were already between 12-24 months old i.e. frame was mint but everything else was starting to show its age having previously been on earlier bike(s). With the budget I had to spend, and bearing in mind I have a typical local tiger wife monitoring my expediture, I thought selling the Blur complete and buying the XT build was the best road to take.

Seinfeld, usually go through the complete seasons 1-9 at least twice a year. In my defence I did once live in NY in the mid 90s so I do get a lot of the references.

Currently running 2×10 as I have just come down from 3×10 on my Blur TRc, we do a lot of transitional riding here so I didn’t want to go to 1×10 as I just dont think I have the fitness to carry it off, however maybe 1×11 will work :)
50mm stem was the first thing changed on purchase and currently running the sag at arounbd 25%, will maybe faff around with the suspension a bit more next weekend when I plan to take it on a more technical group ride.
Still getting used to having a 150mm Float up front as I have always used Talas on my two previous bikes, a Blur TRc and an ASR-5 both of which were no slouches climbing up hills, just need to get used to standing up a bit, usually do a lot of climbing as I like to go up and down.

Finaly got to take it for a spin this weekend on a very short ride due to the weather but all good so far.

It will take me a while to get used to climbing without a Talas, and there is a lot of climbing here but wow, it does fly when you get going, just need to man up after my last injury.

I will always have time for Jeremy Clarkson simply for the fact that he twatted him.

You will find its worse for them in a lot more other countries, at least the UK does have some sort of social security blanket.

Haha, all this old bands remind me of the time I spent working par-time in a Grunge club in Camberley throughout the 90’s, right laugh and most of the crowd were a good bunch though I wasnt really into the scene, much better than the arses that turned up on the dance nights.

I feel sorry for the ordinary Gazan’s trying to go about there life and held captive buy a bunch of prehistoric religious nut jobs who think that lobbing a few rockets into Israel will solve all there problems and for those Israelis who could do without that small percentage of other religious nut jobs determined to claim as much of their ‘ancestral’ home while not actually bearing any of the burden for their stupidity.

Been running 2 for the last 6 months, claimed lumens for mine are 1200 but cant confirm however they are effective for what I use them for so good enough. I have the 4 mode one and we have about 12 guys in my cycling group who use them with no reported issues, the mounts are a little tosh though.
Impressed by the price, I can only get mine for 20GBP and I am guessing Im a little nearer China than you?

Its looking pretty lean even over in Asia though no where near as bad as the UK when I left in mid-2010, has it actualy got worse?
