Is it the best Enduro race bike out there?

Impossible to tell unless all the top riders take turns on other makes, otherwise the current best is the SB6c…shirley?

Will be in Chiang Mei with X Biking next weekend for some trail and DH fun.
I even took my bike to Singapore for my current business trip, there’s stuff here (BT and Palau Udin), not great but Ok laaaa).
If you ever in Hong Kong look me up and I can take you around some of the trails here, email in profile.

Soon to be fitted with some Carbon wheels when I get home…

The DBAirCS shock really does change the Pivot Mach6, best money I have ever spent on a bike.
Did 90km on it this Saturday, so I’d say its an all day big travel bike!

That Reign color scheme is a little marmite for my tastes, saw one in the flesh the other day and in dam well nearly burnt my retina.

    +1 Shortcut
Used to use Oakly’s but I find out in SE Asia the transition times between light and dark are so quick when riding in jungle that they never reacted fast enough so I have given up and just use cheap UVEX clear glasses now.
Same with goggles, just clear lenses, but TBH all the places I use goggles (typically with a fullface helmet) theres a lot of overhead foliage so clear is perfect anyway.

Have to admit it was mainly the color that put me off, that and it weighed a ton.

Once the Russians roll in no Ukrainian will fight openly against a Russian army

Haven’t the Ukrainians been fighting against the Russians anyway, I mean, no one believes that these rebels can suddenly sprout tanks and artillery out of no where?
I think the Russians just want the industrial North and a land corridor to Crimea, fighting for all of the Ukraine would be pointless and costly.
Now, there are also large Russian minorities in the Baltic states, these will be the catalyst for any shenanigans there, Poland should be safe but I wouldn’t want to be in the Baltic’s now.

Its probably just a version of the old cold war, get your opponent worried and then get them to start spending money on defense, the winner is the one that doesn’t go bankrupt first.

Considering Germany caused such grief in Russia it’d be tasteless to stand up there smiling or otherwise

To lighten up the mood they should put a steel drum band on at the end of the procession and turn it into a party.
I’m sure this would have also worked in Northern Ireland during marching season.

Once stayed in the old Moscow Hotel behind St Basils and used to commute through the square, past the Kremlin and onto a nearby office everyday.
I could never figure out how the get all the tanks etc through there as it is a bit congested either end, must take some planning with Moscow traffic being ridiculous at anytime of the day, wouldn’t want to be around when that going on.

    Well, Angela’s not going apparently.

With the current Ukraine kerfuffle going on I imagine the guest list is going to start looking very cold war.

Its the big 70 year celebration for the end of WW2 I think, going to be a huge show, even the North Korean leaders showing up.

If animals in zoo’s managed to escape their enclosures I could imagine lion and tigers having a field day on the domesticated farm stock but, as with deer numbers etc, eventually nature will trim the numbers down to manageable levels.
Thats the thing with humans, we are very resistant to external pressures and tend to be very resilient, I think its one of our greatest assets but oddly enough one of our worst in regards to the natural habitat around us.
Having said that, no doubt in a million or so years they will be digging our bones out of the ground and trying to figure out what we were?

Its all about the chain ring (and related to wheel size), do you find you use the granny gear a lot, then you may need to consider a 28t or 30t chain ring to start?

Been dry out on the trails here for a while so cant comment on the Shimano 200’s on slippery surfaces but that looks like it may change soon. To date they have been good but can get a little uncomfortable on long rides dues to the stiff sole, I am currently playing around with Specialized in-soles which may make a difference.

In regards to the Crossmax’s, really like using them (bar the bright color), as with the Mavic Alpines I used to use before I find they have excellent grip, the only thing I would suggest is make sure you get the size spot on as you can get heel rub if not.
Currently using mine with Specialized in-soles for my flatfeet and find no problems on long days or hike a bike sessions.

A good day out of 3 hours plus:
3L Water (and maybe an energy gel or two)
    Tube & Pump
Tool Kit (Power Links, multi-tool, brake pads, cable ties)
    Medical pack
    ID Card
    Money
    Phone

For short spins may just risk a bum bag with water and tool kit and rely on my tires staying inflated 🙂

Always liked his port race write ups and he seems to come across as not only competitive but also open which is something you don’t always get in top end sportspeople.

That is a man cave though, and it looks like it comes with its own mechanic?

The guy sold the rights to Top Gear to the BBC a while back, if he gets sacked how do will this affect the BBC and their marketing of Top Gear internationally?
I see only two winners, Clarkson and whoever provides him his next vehicle for broadcast (pun intended).

I can guess that certain personalities come across a certain way in the media, his NoW and Top Gear presenting style certainly seems to point to him being an ignorant twunt.

But if the 5th Gear style was as good as some on here make out it would be trumping TG at the ratings then he wouldn’t be able to hold the BBC to ransom since no one would be interested in buying this franchise, Shirley?

He did punch Piers Morgan….in the face.

Used to use Mavic Alpines (not XL) all the time, a great pair of shoes but have now switched to the ‘so enduro’ Mavic Crossmax’s and they are great if you can carry off the color though there’s apparently a black version on the market now.
Both have good enough traction as I regularly have to do hike a bike sessions, typically carrying bikes up steep rocky steps, I imagine the XL’s are the same as they use similar soles.
Also currently using some Shimano SH-M200’s as well and they have surprisingly good grip despite the sole design not looking ‘grippy’.

Build quality is good on both, living in SE Asia with our hot humid weather soon wears through the toughest gear and both are still in good condition.
Could recommend both for long days with the Crossmax’s shading it as they have a slightly less stiff sole which is easier on the feet after 4-5 hours of riding.

There is no problem with giving aid to other countries but maybe we should choose the Chinese approach and make this aid infrastructure, with British companies and people building it?
Its much harder to misuse actual people, materials and equipment than simply giving most of these countries money.

If it was via social media then the security services should be able to access these records easily enough, from past court cases though there appears to be a large number who are assisted by the local community or those with the same convictions.
How did these girls pay for the travel, surely that can be traced or do 14 year kids earn enough for flights these days (let alone how did they pay)?

I was a teenager once and know it wasn’t that difficult to hide things from my parents, but I imagine that would have been stretched a little with the police and security services getting involved.

It seems like the police did screw up here but I imagine the main focus of the families legal team is to bring this error to the front to ensure that the main issue, the fact that the parents should be responsible and answerable for their children’s actions, is kept in the background.
I would presume all legal teams would do this in similar circumstances, minimize the negative by spinning it around, in this case on to a failure by the police.

No expert but just been on the Cane Creek website and used the DBInline fit finder and it appears to be compatible with the 2015 Giant Reign and 2014 Trance 27.5, which I presume uses Maestro suspension still?
I have a DBAirCS on my Mach6 which replaced the OEM Float X shock, I feel its a major improvement mainly in tracking, still playing with the settings but I am never going back to Fox (for now anyway).

I fail to believe such a nice group have managed to survive so long without being a little nasty, a place like that must shirley have attracted the same scavengers that destroyed the last settlement they were in (the one Tyrone died in).
Also, who is that young girl feeding, the same group that stole Ricks hidden pistol?

Had one for about 3 weeks now and very happy with it, bought via CRC.
It looks and feels big but has a narrow silhouette and fits very snug, I’m 5’9″ and find it a comfy fit though I have notice that I can feel the top of the pack when I crane my next back.
The wrap around waist belt seems a little OTT but you get used to it and it easily copes with a 3L bladder, tools etc for a good day ride, there’s even some connectors at the base to secure your pads alongside the helmet mount (for either half or full face).
I ride in pretty humid conditions and the pack seems to be holding up well so far.

I have a feeling things will get worse, however, if this does not start the ball rolling on Europe finding a way to get clean renewable energy then what will?
Germany is very dependent of cheap Russian energy, China have just managed to get a good deal from the Russians on a long term gas deal and the Saudis are in the process of trying to shaft every petro producing nation on earth, interesting times.

Been running DT Swiss XM1501’s for the last year without any problems at all and for a combination of AM/Trail/a little DH type riding out in rocky HK but going to a set of Light Bicycle carbon rims/DT Spokes/HopeProII hubs in the next week or so (when they show up due to Chinese New Year).
For the price I can’t see a better deal?
