This sounds like good news, 175cm in new money (short legs and arms) and getting a medium Patrol carbon very shortly, having been unable to get a leg over one I went with what I read online as them coming up slightly longer than the norm.

I know it’s really clichéd, but how ever many times I watch it, I can’t help laughing at Del Boy falling through the bar hatch

or trigger and his broom and his continual use of Dave when addressing Rodney.

Have you ever seen Midnight Express? One of the few films that is so harrowing and disturbing that I have no desire to watch it again.

Yes, good film though I have been on an 18-30 Holiday in Bodrum that was very similar.

    Also that.

    ..been in a Turkish prison.

Or watched a Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings film in its entirety.

I imagine that all these experiences are similar.

Why would vegans worry, they are so weak from their lack of meat diet that they would never be in a position, influence or strength at work to earn that sort of money.

Have RF Ambush and POC Air’s, find the Ambush really useful for all dayer’s where I want to easily put them on then off, the Air’s are hardly noticeable when riding but a bit of a pain on long climbs in the SEA humidity.

    No, religion, yes.
I can separate racists, sexists and other bad traits without politics being involved, if you think being left or right clearly marks you as a racists or whatever then you are very wrong, some traits cross political divides. I have friends who are inherently right wing but view trident as immoral and left leaning friends who worry about immigration, its a recent phenomenon where people seem to want to label people instead of debate, something we saw in huge evidence recently with Brexit and regrettably here a lot.

However, with politics there is at lest some core beliefs based on real things, such as living conditions, the belief that it benefits other through act or facilitation, local government etc, with religion its pure hokum.

Congratulations, how different are the qualifications and skillets required between the Uk and French certificates (just curious)?

Starting to get a little boring to me, celebrity death, over long ‘special forces’ segment and I am now starting to do what I used to do with the last few series of TG, fast forward through the test track footage, yes, its a fast car and it goes fast around a race track.
Would like a bit more engineering and some decent challenges, they were in SA, they could have come up with a great challenge.
Will preserver, its a reasonably long series so it may be building up slowly.

Nothing, apart from a Transition Patrol Carbon frame but in my defense I didn’t know it was black Friday, not really a ‘thing’ here.

    South America, specifically Patagonia, spectacular.
South Africa, bit biased as I grew up there but its one of the most beautiful places on earth once you get out of the cities.
New Zealand, could happily live there, lots of things to see and do plus its NOT Australia 🙂

    Select any 80’s video….

Like an 80’s budget version of Game of Thrones but the only victims here being taste, style and music in general.

I was going to add Duran Duran’s “Girls on Film”….

Spent ome time in Rotorua last December, wife only let me have one morning of riding on a hire bike, from the hiking we did I think I missed about 90% of the trails 🙁

2013 Fujimi Panarama Bike park, turned up just before national DH championships, at the time there were only 3 trails down, could only ride two of them over the 3 day trip as the main one, A, was closed off for pre-race prep.

Been a long time reader of the Guardian, originally the paper but more so online now and mainly for the football (and excellent football weekly podcast) plus the opinion pieces but I’m starting to think the latter is now more about click-bait than actual thought inducing articles.
Bring back comrade Milne, even as a slightly right of center person I did used to enjoy his opinions, its good to anger the blood every now and then.
As for the newspapers and their readership, Yes Minister had this covered years ago….

In this day of easy access to news its also ironic that the same technology makes it even easier to spread false news probably more a result of robots farming joke fake news sites more than anything.

Like to run a 150mm dropper which looks like it may be an issue on that kinked seat stay but from what I have seen on-line so far may be that a good thing as a number of reviews have mentioned rear tire rub when leaning over the back, never owned a 29er so is that an issue?
Run SRAM 1×11 on both my bikes at the moment (SB5c/601) and would trade up to 1×12 if possible, I do live near trails that require lots of climbs to get to them so every little helps.
Plus Id like a red bike so the 9.9 has the lead and loving Fox suspension at the mo bar the recent X2 problems, cant get the Slash in HK though until February apparently 🙁

Bookmarking this as looking to get one once I sell my Liteville, tempted by the 9.9 but the 9.8 does look better bar losing the SRAM Eagle drive train (though XX1 isn’t a bad cheaper alternative).
The new Remedy looks like a bargain also, especially the 9.9 RSL version.

My first ‘real’ car after having a old T reg Mazda 323 to learn in and generally faff around with L plates.

Mine got written off after being hit by a drink driver, but if I could find one that had not rusted apart I would, great little fun car plus I could actually afford to run it now (not like when I was 18).
Oh, Alpha 114 Kilo Delta Unit, how I miss you.

The one thing I miss about leaving the UK was saying goodbye to my 159 Sportswagon (maybe some family members and friends also). Found my 159 to be more reliable than the mk6 Gold TDi that went before it, now with Alfa’s that the luck of the draw but if you have not owned one before I say go for it.
A Sportwagon model, with roof bars and leather seats is a great bike car.

Channel 5’s 11pm showings of Russ Meyer films were like manna from heaven

    +1

Maybe not films but didn’t 80’s TV shows like Tenko, Minder and The Professional always show a little ‘lady torso’?

What Dazh said plus I would add that its easier to borrow money than to save with our historic low interest rates, there is no encouragement to save or invest.

Yup, in 1993, there was no statue at the top and the guide on the bus tour took particular pleasure as describing me and my 2 friends as ‘redcoats’ to everyone else.

Philly was a little rough in those days especially as we got there via Greyhound, don’t know what its like now but South St, between 2nd and 8th Avenue’s did have some crackin bars.

Have a look at a .gif of NATO’s encroachment of Russia

Russia is huge, countries in NATO cover what, maybe 15-20% of its land borders?

Countries previously under the Russian sphere of influence seem very keen to join NATO at the earliest opportunity, its almost as if they have experienced something and do not want a repeat?

I think we are seeing a great swell of people effectively flicking V’s to what they perceive to be the Establishment in the only way they can these days, through the ballot box.
Yes Trumps just as much of the establishment as Clinton, but he doesn’t come across as such so that’s basically what has to do, just like Farage and Brexit.
You can argue what you like but in the last 20 years we have swung between Labour/Democrat and Tory/Republican but what has really changed, nothing, they just kept interest rates low and credit easy so that we thought that we were feeding from the same trough as them, we were not.

We live in interesting times, maybe watching all the Mad max movies over the weekend will put me in good stead for what’s ahead?

Question is can you break that cycle?

I suspect things will just continue as they were, a small proxy war there, a financial crash here, pension pots getting smaller, debt getting larger everywhere etc etc

……. write down the 4 reasons you think Trump should be president without using the words Hillary or Clinton

    1. It would be a boom to the wall building industry
    2. It would bring about an increase in grass roots protest movements
    3. The first lady would add a little style to the role
    4. He is not Hilary

    Dammit, its difficult.

“Why did she take on the leadership?”

Kudos to her for not dodging the bullet and giving it a go in very difficult circumstances unlike other politicians who were very active in the campaign but jumped at the first opportunity.

Will Brexit be the same as the Southern States succeeding from the Union and then resulting in the civil war, my thinking is instead it will be years of endless political infighting and maneuvering with everybody being in the same place as when they started?
