Did a full loop of the black then red and bits of blue. I thoroughly enjoyed the all of it.
Couldn’t of picked a better day for it. Sunny but not too hot and dry trails.
the black route it so much better with a dropper post than the last time I did it 10 years ago.

    thanks for the comments.
I’m gonna head up there tomorrow.
reckon I’ll probably do full loop of black, red & blue, as I fancy some big nostalgic miles with minimal navigation effort.

    ta.
not sure whether to give it blast for old time sake or stick to usual mix of black then red.

I ordered a pair of fulcrum wheels for £99 from PX.
They were delivered really quick and look mint.
    Happy customer.

had mine for about 18 month now and last ride out the lever stop having an effect so that it dropped when i sat on it and returned up when i got off.

Went to replace cable last night and found that the cable assembly wasn’t attached to anything.

i guess like the post above something has dropped down into the post and needs lifting back up.

    I do the senior CXNE.

the race at the weekend in Darlington seemed to have a good spread from the silly quick Thomas Mein right through to the back.

do it. its right good fun.

I had the old one size cnoc 14.

it matches up with the current large as I remember measuring child to see how close to 98cm he was.

Newcastleton is miles better than kielder!! IMO.
It’s often over looked as it not easy to get to and as Mabie, Tweed valley are just up the road and they offer more choice.
    It’s a hidden gem.

just my opinion but I enjoy the red route at Newcastleton way more than the red at kielder.

Shame the coverage didn’t show more of MvdP coming through the field. Does he get to start from 8th next time?

    What happened to J Neff?

changing the battery never crossed my mind. I guess cos I wanted to sync without PC too.
However, reckon I might look into to that to eeek another few years out of it, as it’s just there as a tracker.

my XC MTB 2009 came with square taper.
I had worn the cassette and chain rings by 2014 but the BB was fine.
took the opportunity to “upgrade” cranks and BB to hollowtech2 while replacing Chain rings.
Two years later needed new BB yet the square taper was fine after 5 years.

had avid juicys and elixirs, hated them. got shimano xt’s which I think are ace in ease of setup and use. Had them for about 3 year now.
doubt theres much difference between xt and slx other than a free stroke screw which does nowt.
