you can buy new shaft from about £30 from Mojo (probably along with a *cough* 4.5 year service like i did last week)- they even sent me the old one back so i could see the damage.

Plus similar issue with my Revs – dirt in airtube – £30 part + service .

Total cost Fox Septune £160 – Mojo – and Rev's £130 from TFT (inc phone call from Tim himself to tell me what was wrong and ok the parts needed).

Pricy but worth it as i now have a custom tuned shock thats lots beter than the Fox was new on mt FSR120….

it'd be a pity if the Classifieds were restricted to serious posters only (say over 100+). i've been a member/mag subscriber since 2003 but don't post much anymore especially since i moved to an open plan office!!!!

i've bought a couple of frames, several pairs of forks and lots of little bits to and fro since then. i've always found the Classifieds great – i know what my limits are and what i would think was reasonable for an item. My only mistake was to buy some classic blue "mavic" stickered SIDS a few years ago forgetting to check disc compatibility. Caveat Emptor indeed and entirely my fault…

Felt sorry for the guy i saw on my 1st lap (2nd actual lap) walking down the 1st fire road stretch with his rear mech hanging off. Also the older guy with an Enduro who'd bust his hanger and was desperately trying to find one in the Transition area – unfortunately my FSR one was no where near close in fit.

Plus i was impressed by the Singular guys, especially the one with the moustache bars, and i actually saw a Jones in the flesh too!

So, who won the Spesh Cross single speed then? i have real problems accessing the No Fuss site from work and i hasn't updated since last week per my blessed screen…

2nd year present – my brother who was racing pairs with me (274/275 – manx MTB Club) blew on his 3rd lap….after not drinking at all on his 2nd.

Great event and i recommend it to all and sundry at home. Nice atmosphere and everyone who passed me or i passed were fine – no "elite rider coming thru" moments i'm glad to say.

Can't bear to see how bad we did but i enjoyed every second… when can we book for 2010?
