but at the end of the day you abandoned a lock on their property

Um, maybe something has prevented him going to get the lock. Like, I dunno, a major worldwide pandemic?

    Start cheap!
Pick up a cheap break barrel rifle for her to start on.
I think shooting is something you need to start with the basics as it teaches you how to shoot properly.
If you go and get a PCP rifle, it’s easy. Anyone can shoot one.
A spring rifle will help her learn more about how to shoot and, if she doesn’t like it, you won’t loose too much money.

You can’t go wrong with a Syntace Megaforce. Should be able to find one just in budget..not cheap but light and very strong (15 stone here)..

I’m running a DD Griffin on the big bike and its been very good in the harder conditions we’ve had lately.
Only 2.3″ but been great on my EX511 rims.

I got caught driving without insurance once, points and fine (my mate was pissed and I didn’t want him driving so drove his car). I set up a standing order to pay the fine as I was on a low income at the time.
Somehow this got cancelled and I, stupidly, didn’t realise or do anything about it. I owed about £150..
Long story short, got a letter to go to court. Turned up, explained what had happened..
Got sentenced to 2 weeks prison! Luckily made my one phonecall home and my parents came in and paid the fine off.
    2 **** weeks for £150!!
Meanwhile, my ex-brother-in-law, who had abused my sister, smashed her car up, threatened her with a knife was told to try and be a better person and do 50 hours community service..

    Good luck with your case.

Hi Steve good to know you’re still at it! 30 mins climb

Living down the road from Barnards Green it’s always up, up, to start with but once I get to the Beacon it’s downhill all the way if I want it to be.
I dislike climbing but it’s a necessity living here.

Recently moved from SPD’s to flats and picked up a pair of Syntace Titans Number Nines.
A bit expensive but uber-light and very well put together.
Nice and thin with plenty of pin positions.

    Another Malverner here.
Been here 45 years and don’t see me going anywhere else.
It’s a quiet place but does get a lot of visitors over the summer weekends.
I’ve biked the hills for 30 years and you soon learn where to go to avoid people and there’s plenty of off-piste to test you.
There’s the usual issues with development but access to the town is good and should be better once the link road to the M5 at Worcester is finished though you can get to it easy enough through Upton.
Some good shops, retail park on the outskirts, theatre/cimena, lots of good food & pubs.
And I never get bored of the view:

The stupidity of this is that, if he was in such a rush, why did he feel the need to stop, get out, shout etc. That must’ve delayed him more than waiting for a safe overtake..
    He’s a ****!

The power comes down in line with the fence to the house but the phone lines go at an angle to the house next door.
What’s a notice to quit? Never heard of that before. Access is via a 3′ gate…he said it might be a struggle!

I don’t think there is a wayleave as I did inquire ages ago and was told that we could get a payment.
It feeds several properties with power & phone.
This is the pole in question:

Thanks guys. I’ll be having a chat with them shortly about the process and will mention wayleave.
Pole can’t be put elsewhere as it’s another garden next door.
The pole is about an inch inside the fence so it’ll be interesting how well they do it so will take loads of before-during-after photos.

    Lucky to get a linkage.
Tried getting one for my old 6.6 but none anywhere so I ended up machining my own (and bolts).

What do you remember most from when you first got into MTB’ing?

Bending the forks on my Raleigh Avanti on a large drop. Then replacing it with a team issue Dynatech Pro. Loved that bike…

    Welcome back Monty.
Troutie did make some awesome lights and, as said, was a great chap. Met him, ans Smudge, a few times and both were very helpful when I started making & selling lights.

My Spiders Eyes light was also great but has blown an LED and I’ve failed to be able to get in past the glued down dome lens in order to see how tricky it would be to replace – any tips?

    Still no joy?

We’ve got a house, 5 mins walk from the beach so, hopefully, traffic won’t be an issue.
It’s more for the change of scenery.
Have a mate on Exmoor so will try and spend a day there.

The 3 photographs really show the charm and attention to detail..and it’s only one of the most sought after locations. Imagine how much one in a sort after location might go for.

I’d stick it back up. There’s no guarantee that the current ‘buyers’ will get a sale or, if they do, may be in a chain.
They may get a buyer quickly and could still buy but if you want shot of it, put it back up.
