Mobile phones and Facebook is a cancer in schools and with kids now. There are too many parents who just don’t understand or don’t want to know what is going on.

I think senior sales executive Stewart McDougall needs to spend a bit more time on his bike and a few less hrs eating pies.

You can do myfitnesspal as an App or just on the PC.

The best thing is the bar code reader, makes life easy to enter what you eat. And if you have regular meals then just input that and it will save the data.

Once you get into the swing its very quick and for some folk a great motivator.

The engin is the least of the issues at that mileage, there are all the other parts of a car to take into account, clutch, dampers, electrics suspension, brakes.

Most of it is easily fixed but bill could mount up.

I would draw the line at 100k miles assuming the car was a 1 or 2 owner. If it had 5 owners and was 100k miles i would walk away.

As long as the price was right then maybe.

I have ditched the alcohol, not that i drank loads but even a few bottles of beer at the weekend adds up.

Other changes for me have been no sugar in coffee, brown bread and brown rice and pasta.

Alos trying to eat more veg, raw carrots and celery to nibble on. Along with fruit.

Thats another 2 lbs lost last week.

Its all going in the right direction.

Once i can get back out on the bike in March for some proper rides that i should see it flying off.

Myfitnesspall is a great app. Really helps you inderstand what you are taking in and give you a we check when you are reaching for the goodies late at night.

Im sticking to 1600cal a day which is pretty tough for me, really just 3 meals a day with some fruit and veg as snacks. Breakfast and lunch are usually 400 cal each which leaves 800 cal for dinner and a few snacks. Keeping dinner down to about 600 cal is hard for me.

Getting out on the bike makes a huge difference, on the days i get out my calorie expenditure is effectivly zero. Goes a long way to keeping my weekly average under 1600 cal.

It’s a shame he can’t accept the overwhelming evidence and admit that his son caused the death of himself and three other innocent people.

What a bell end you are.

Would love to see you say that to his face, oh wait a moment you like to hide behind a keyboard.

Wouldnt it be better for the riders who all rode beside him to decide if he should compete again or not. They are the ones who have a clue about the sport, unlike STW that it.

Despite what the media say, the only ones who are really feeling the triple dip recession that we are nattering are those on lower family incomes, I.e less that £50k especially if there is a couple of kids in the family to. There are a very large number of people in this country who still earn big bucks and really are unaffected and hence are buying new cars.

My car is 10 years old and it’s running great. No reason to change for at least another 5 years.

Unless you are into time trials I wouldn’t bother. If you are then you need to try them on the bike and make sure you are comfortable with them. 40km at full pelt when not comfy is no joke.

Apparently artificial sweeteners can have the same effect on insulin levels as normal sugar. And it’s the insulin level you’re trying to manipulate by cutting out carbs/milk/alcohol.

Says who? They have barely scratched the surface on sugars relationship with insulin let alone the many artificial sweeteners.

And I would NOT cut out milk. It’s probably one of the best drinks ever invented. Funny that!

If it’s a new babe seriously consider a sling, a fabric one like the Close Parent job. Way better and more convenient than a pushchair, less faff, and much much better for the babe.

You end up stroking and cuddling them all the time instead of carting them about like luggage. Tiny babies really appreciate the close contact.

Agreed, a bit sore on the back once they hit 4 mind!!
