Sorry but your far from the mark, when the weather is as bad as it was its always a matter of grinf=ding out a win, no matter what side you are.

Scotland will be going through probably with England, not sure which one will be first yet.

No doubt if conditions allow England can put 40points past Georgia, but so could Scotland in similar conditions.

Quality performance from Scotland, did exactly what they needed.

Forwards played very well, scrum was solid Props were very good.

Very difficult conditions, not exactly weather for running rugby, but as usual the English media take every oppertunity to have a go.

Well done to the boys, a nice well earned rest and back to it next week.

Not a question i worry about as my kids would never get involved in somthing like that.

They would be more worried about reporcutions from me than the police anyway, just as i was with my dad.

It sure is a steady drag, road it a few weeks ago and didnt realise in the car just what a drag it is from tweedsmuir to the top of the beeftub. Its about 150m ascent over 8 miles. Legs were burning.

Probably not worth fixing unless you can get mates rates.

I would rather all the folk who complain about paying their 50% rate would **** off to another country and take their selfish attitudes with them, WE DONT NEED YOU.

Its a great job as long as its right for you (i guess like most) But if its not for you then it can be a very very hard job.

Most people who bleat on about the easy life teachers have are just jealous of the hols, as which any job you get the highs and lows.
The best bit of the job is working with the kids in the classroom; there is a lot of mince that gets tagged along.

Unfortunately there is an abnormally high divorce rate in teaching, and alcohol use is high and high early mortality rate in teaching. Anyone who tells you its not a stressful job really knows SFA.

Get into classroom and see how you get on a bit of work experience you might love it more than you think, or realise it’s just not for you. Try and find out before you fully commit to any course.

Its going to be a tough cycle for them tomorrow, the decent at Talla Res is very steep and narrow, gets pretty bleak out there if the weather is bad.

I see a cyclist died out there last week.

The fork is lossing all its air from the neg side.

Its the dust seal that is being pushed off the fork lower by the leaking air pressure.

If i leave the pump atttached it looses the air quick enought to watch the needle falling prety quickly.

I think the air seals are knacked, possibly dried out if the fork has been lying a while.

I will just buy a new seal kit and fit that see if it helps, probably chaeper and quicker than sending them back and trying to source another set of forks.

It never really that much of a saving.

I will be saving about £220 on my Whyte 805. Not to be sniffed at but not quite what the figures would have you believe considering it was a £900 bike.

Anyone know if this might be an easy fix, local bike shop. Or a proper suspension specialist.

If so any ideas where i can take/send them.

seems the dust seal on the air side is also not staying put its sliding up and staying there as the fork compresses.

    Not **** happy.

We flew into Calgary anf home from Van.

Was a great 17 days for use. Drove right round up to Jasper then back down. Stayed with friends in 100 mile house and Vancouver. Route 24 across to 100 mile is the best road i have ever driven, stunning.

if you’ve got a SID, take a look at where the front wheel sits in the fork.

I dont have the forks yet, but why whats wrong :?:

Cant waint now, probably wont come till Wed but at least i will be able to get them on for the weekend and get out on Sat Morning.

Really looking forward to getting them finally i am feeling a bit fitter too, out for 30 mile on the road bike and flt great, finally got over 15mph average. Its been 15 years since i have seen these kinds of speeds. The only way is up for the winter, i just hope 1 ride a week will be enough.

I did the loop from Moffat round St Mary’s loch to Meggethead-tweedsmuir a few weeks ago and its a great cycle, 45 miles or so. Cant believe the times the pros will be doing it in.

I was tempted to do the full run tomorrow but its really a step too far for my fitness level well prbably 5 or 6 steps too far!!!

Some guy rode all of the 7 stanes in one go, and rode between them as well… think he did it in under 24 hrs.

    Can’t find the story though

Probably because its not true. Must be close to 200 road miles just between them all. And about 14 hrs of off road ridding.

Cadel Evans on roids couldnt do that.

Thats a good price but i think £450 is a bit of a stretch for me, im just not convinced that i need forks that are that expensive.

Have fun i might see you as will be going out in the afternoon tomorrow probably to Mabie (10min drive) for me.

Why not try all the reds next summer in a day, a nice challenge for someone. Dont know if anyone has done that.

I got shot of my road bike and now use an MTB frame with Alfine 8 speed 26″ rims and Kojact tyres.

I love the bike it rides well very comfy i can do 50 miles on it no prob. The wheels definatly sock up the bumps more than my road bike.

On you commute a single spped might be the ticket, have you checked out on-one?

Not sure i want something thats damaged and needs £300 spent on them.

Just not sure about second hand it seems that forks are something that take a bit of a punding and would be easy to just sell on whaen they are knackered to an unsuspectng person like myself.

I might be wrong im pretty new to the mtb scene.
