We cant afford, or wont afford, you mean you would rather spend tax money on subsidies for Westminster cantees, propping up bankers bonuses, funding wars. Paying for so much cr@p you have no idea.

As far as I’m concerned teachers etc, deserve to get screwed by this government – if they lack the guts to stand up to them.

You know something mate you might be spot on there.

Cameron et al are like Thacher turned up to 11, and for the life of me i cant understand why people dont see it.

Lots if not all private sector employers pension schemes (which people “signed up to”) have substantially changed (for the worse) in the last 5-10 years.

Yes i was in one, but what hey did is close the pension scheme to new emplyees and they had to go onto a money puchase scheme.

But i guess you caould always move to a better employer, and maybe when enough people level your currrent employer then they will get their act together.

I just dont get why people beat up on the public sector, what do you want a private poplice force, all schools private with £20k a year fees. Private fire service.

Get real, have a think why the public sector came in to being, have you any idea what it was like 100 years ago.

Heres a thought all you private sector employees greeting about not getting a pension, why not try and save for one.

My pension costs me £200 per month, how many of you even put that away.

Why not ask you company directors to stop take massive bonuses and giving shareholders huge payouts and actually pay into a pension for you all.

Or is that too easy, your so brain washed that you are happy with company bosses average pay going up by 50% last year. Dont know about you but i have a 2 year pay freeze. On average the private sector pay rose by 2.5% last year.

Oh and my pay in the private sector would be approx £10k more than i get as a teacher. I would have a contributory pension, bupa, healthclub and a few other perks so dont act like people in the public sector dont know how it works.

My pension is part of my pay, simple as that. Its what i signed up to and i cant see how they can change it on a whim, cause they cant be arsed taxing a few rich bankers.

Because the private sector is the one paying for the public sector’s pension.

Would be much better for the Greeks to call it a day.

Imagine you stopped payments on your house but still lived in it, how much better off would you be.

Why oh why are we scared to let banks take losses. What other company do government bail out like that.

No way will Greece vote yes to stay in this mess.

So should all motorcyclists sit a driving test?

I think you will find the vast majority already do drive cars.

I have never ridden with anyone who is a mc only.

Always thought that, i remember the first time i rode on a motorbike in the streets amoungst traffic during my CBT i was 5hitting my self. Its amazing who quicky you get used to it, especially when upgrading to a zx-10r.

I have always maintained being a biker makes me a better driver.

    stevewhyte

Totally agree with above, i am in the middle of my cycle scheme payments and i would not do it again, but it spread the cost of a nice whyte 805 for me and there was no way i had the money for one up front.
At the end of the day i will get the bike for something like £700 or so, so its a bit of a saving but not loads.

If you can pick up a nice sale bike and have the reddies then go for that, all the better if you can get it for 0%.

Its just not worth it at the end of the day the guy in the car will win if he wants to run you over, just let it pass. Its so hard to do but its te right thing to do.

Saying that would have been nice if you had stuck the heed in him. Then 5hat in his drivers seat.

Yes the new 2.2 has same power but a fair bit lighter and about 10mpg better.

The 2.9 is a pretty decent engine, probably good for about 250,000 miles. Its easily one of the best cars i have ever owned, and i have owned nearly 30!!!

I would think so, but i never carry my bike in the back of the car always on a rack.

Saves me hours having a beard, i keep mine to a number 2 give it a zizz twice a week, more like heavy stubble.

Had to shave every day to keep it smooth and cant be arsed. As for the ladies, beard is the least of my problems :o)

No such thing as a top 5 Clint Eastwood film list there all too good.

Dirty Harry and Magnum Force are right up there

    As is Eiger Sanction

And Unforgiven is one of my fav films of all time Gene Hackman is just brill, as is English Bob. :oD

Just to balance things out, ours has been brill, and i have 2 other friends who have one and they love it.

We had a Pug 807 before now that was a piece of 5hit it really was.

The Sedona (2007 model) is very comfy, drves well handles great gets abotu 35mpg average for a tank. Loads of space, we have the electric sliding doors and they still work great after 85,000 miles of running.

Paintwork is in good condition(silver) so it seems to be a quality car all round.

I use a Saris Bones RS rack on mine but i do have a tow ball and will probably be getting a different rack at some point (just have to justify getting a tow ball on othe car!)

Bike easily fits in back of car with 2 rear seats out. If you use it as a 7 seater, there is still a reasonable amount of space for shopping etc.

Great Air con rear passengers get sepperate controls too.

Only issue was with the front ofside brake caliper sezing, this was an issue on the model year and has been sorted on newer cars, got a replacment caliper and new disks amd pads so sorted f.o.c.

I would buy another, in fact probably will buy a 2011 model in with auto box in a couple of years to replace mine.

I dont think anyone would say they didnt deserve to win, they were for sure the class act of the tournament.

As a Scot i always want the underdog to win, its pre programmed in us!!

Overall NZ were worthy winners, they do live on the edge a bit as i have always noted, they must do more high tackles forward passes and ruck infringments than every other team put together.

The real loosers were the refs, who i think had a pretty poor world cup overall, realy some shocking refing.

And ITV coverage which was so poor its almost laughable. Still would rather them than Sky.

Looking forward to next WC and Scotland going all the way :oD

Sections of the edge are in need of some attention too.

I keep mine between 15 and 18 depending.

Last year i kept the heating on the whole of Dec and Jan but adjusted the temp with thermostat.

Ended up being cheaper than just letting the heating come on twice a day.

    Ignore them – !

    Good point well made.

As far as Kirroughtree is concerned really just not quite understanding why most folk rate it so highly.

As i said eariler next year i will go back and try the full red/black course with hopefully a bit more fitness and skill.

Its unfair to chastise any trail/route when you havent done it full.

Do the black next year and see if its any better than what you tried this week.

I cant recall any bits in Kirroughtree that you have to get off and push down, but horses for courses.

Unfair? really even tho i did all the red and a part of the black.
So i cant comment on the red then, yes very good!

Hey maybe yo are just a mega superstar mountain bike rider and can traverse anything the 7 stanes can provide. Newsflash im not not sure if you are just being arrogant or are just a blow hard.

How come there seems to be very little room for new riders on this forum, everyone seems to think they are Cadel Evans, keyboard warrior syndrome?
