You may find you are not eating 1900 but 2300 or more. You really have to be pedantic if you want to count calories.

Also you need to aim for 1600 cal to get more off.

Initially you should be able to shifty 1kg a week for a month then it will slow as you body adjust. You need to up you excerise to compensate.

Just how much did Wales pay Joubert?

He needs to get looked at, very poor ref today. Wales were the better side for sure, but the ref seriously better get a police escort out of Scotland.

Right now, mountain biking is on the decline and road biking is on the up, give it another 10 years and it will have reversed.

Road bike clubs just seem to be better organised to me, mountain biking is more social, but road is more serious. That’s the way I perceive t anyway.

It’s ok, you’re allowed not to get it.

Some people like it, and others are not fit enough. It’s ok.

Pros – Its proper cycling, anything else is just a poor imitation. Bikes are lovely.

Cons – There are not enough hrs in the day to do all the rides i want, work gets in the way.

Well I quit my ST sub a few months ago (after 10 yrs) and have just taken out one to Cyclist. Its rather a good read. It wasn’t an intentional swap, I had just got bored of ST then I bought C when bored in a service station and next thing I’ve subscribed.

It’s a cracking read Cyclist. I have got the road one for the past 2 months, easily the best mag out there.

No doubt in 5 years, there will be loads of options and probably more bikes will have disk than not.

Will be interesting if they can resolve the heat issues regarding long descents. Most disks seem to be 140mm. Shimano and there ice tech should come into here own. Just another opportunity for the designers to show there worth.

I disagree, my 105 are adequate at best, and the rear keeps seizing
If they keep on seizing, you need to look at why, cable routing, worn spring or another reason, have been using 5700/105 for the last 2 years, and they are just as good as 6700/Ultegra.

He likes to disagree, it’s in his nature.

Not sure where this idea of rim brakes being rubbish comes from. Probably never used a decent set of rim brakes. They are far from rubbish, even 105 spec are very good.

I use disks on my winter bike and rim brake on the race bike. The only real advantage I can see from disks is wet weather operation, and use on carbon rims (which is a biggie), maybe using hydraulic fluid rather than cables, but that’s a small one.

I’m not convinced about the looks of a disk road bike, but it’s early days right now.

There is no question it is cleaner if you fall of an have shaved legs, especially the congealed blood.

But why should anyone care if you shave your legs. Just sounds like some folk have nothing better to do than moan.

Just for some balance, Garmin is fab, connect works perfectly even on my iPad (well almost)

1 thing to make it ll work well fr me was to swap to Mozilla rather than explorer for my Webb browser, apparently chrome works fine too.

Get yourself to some local craft fairs, you might find someone close by you can commission.

I dont agree with GG on many things, but he is the monkey in the wrench that we need in parliemnt, as is Farage. for me the more independant smaller politicians we have in parliament the better.

I do love the way Galloway can cut through the BS the other talk and get to the heart of the matter.

He went up 100 points the day he took on the American Congress, made them look like rank amatures.

Oh no the old rotational weight chestnut is rearing its head, some of you guys need to stop reading internet forums.

You really have to wake up to the fact that when you save weight on a bike of a few hundred grams its make sod all difference, regardless of the weight being on the wheels or grips or tyres etc.

Looks at the weight of the fatty who is riding the bike, even at 70kgs the rider is a much bigger influence on the bike than anything. By a factor of 350 when talking about these tubes.

How many on here could still lose at least 5kgs. Do that before you start spending £40 on a tube just to save weight.

Most sensible rider buy gear on its function and durability not weight.

Nothing like a bit of hyperbole to make you look a numpty eh.

Just please stop claiming it make a difference to lose 100g when it just doesnt make a blind bit of difference. Lose more after going to the toilet for free.

    Total waste of money.
