Ideally, yes 170 or 180mm of travel. I have 170 on the rear and want to balance it out. I’m currently running 36 Talas and they are too short axle to crown. 66’s would do but i really want the rockshox u-turn.
I know you can make the 180mm domains 160mm by changing spacers, I just wondered if anyone had done it the other way round.

thanks everyone. It does appear to be slightly smaller than stated so i have now ordered a metal one by a different manufacturer.

Thanks everyone, just spoke to TF Tuned and they agreed that in this case (my weight, bike type, make and spec of spring), it would be fine.
    Thanks again

boobs; i’m sure the gap will be wider, as they are on ti springs compared to normal steel. What will measuring tell me? Is there a numerical rule for the gap relating to the stroke?

yeah, thought it might have been a bit ‘moon on a stick’ but I was just hoping.
Saves me a few quid at least.

I meant light as in weight. I will want to feel confident riding the fork off reasonably high drops / jumps, say in the region of 7′. I want to use this bike for everything I do, which does include some trail riding but mostly jumps, shore, dh and general fr.

    Hi Ash
Depending on the design, I may be able to help. I do very high quality tees using vinyl on excellent ethically / environmentally sound shirts. Send me your design and I will let you know what I can do, if at all.

I have two here. One at 170mm and one at 153mm. Both have been sold to me as 36T. Was just wondering which is the right one.
I’m sure the chain will come very close to protruding over the bashguard on the smaller one but too close to call without installing, which I cant do just yet as dont have chainring bolts long enough.

    Cheers
