China dominating the diving, think they’ve won every event so far. If nothing else they’re doing something which allows them to put in a lot more training hours.

Also if there’s a few of you maybe consider hiring a guide from Ridelines (other firms are available). Local knowledge and first aid back up.

Trailforks is really good for the Golfie, GPS positioning can be a bit wayward but the trail ratings are pretty helpful. The lower trails, Plan B and bottom of Repeat Offender are a good taster before committing to the full climb. Halfway up you can try lower Wardell Way which is pretty mellow but a bit steeper. If you go above the concrete reservoir Repeat Offender and New York New York are great fun. They’ll give you an idea of what to expect, not too tech but fairly long so you might want to take a minute for a breather if you’re not used to longer descents.

It would help Trump if there was any evidence he’d actually been shot but he doesn’t even have a scabby lug.

Trump is toast. They clearly have no idea what they’re doing.

Is the Zero 29 lighter than the Forge. I have one and love it. Do everything on it, long rides and Enduro. I have a proper mince tank for Enduro but prefer the Zero most of the time.

Yep. Even the 21 yo boy commented on how lovely it is.

Pretty much, not ridden everything in the area but mostly forest roads/wide footpaths. If you go past the mast to the very top take a rope and crampons.

I’ve just remembered that when we had to start keeping an eye on my MIL it was much better to give her a small amount of cash as she kept losing her bank card. She insisted on being able to go to the local Co-op and it was one of her few joys in life so it wouldn’t have worked if we’d done all her shopping for her.

I’m a gardener and when I started, a lot of my income was in cash but as the banks have closed branches and COVID stopping people going out very few pay me in cash now.

I got my van serviced last week and did a bank transfer to Dave them the charges for using a card. I’m happy to pay cash when using small businesses. My friend owns a cafe and their income is shockingly low. They rarely take holidays and provide a really good service to the community so if paying in cash helps then it’s not a big deal for me. I like using cash as it helps me keep track of what I’m spending, especially on holiday.

Going to see Ash and Idlewild at Fringe by the sea in North Berwick in a couple of weeks. Not a massive fan of either but tickets were only £30 and £15 for my daughter so seemed rude not to.

We were in Ireland a couple of weeks ago and a girl was sat outside a motorhome playing a harp.

I don’t really remember but I know we started with leaving them alone for 5 or 10 minutes whilst we went to the shop for milk etc. My son was 9 or 10 when he started getting the bus on his own to go to the pool for diving lessons. We bought him a mobile and the first two or three times his mum went with him. It was good for him and when we went to his first parents evening at high school most of his teachers commented on how organised he was. My BIL doesn’t trust his girls to do anything on their own and I don’t think it does them any good.

I heard somewhere that Trump is already regretting picking Vance. The next three and a bit months are going to be very interesting, I just hope KH has a good security team around her.

“trump’s team have dissected her 2019/20 performances to develop attack lines”

I think you’re giving his team far too much credit. They’ve got one plan and that plan is now screwed. They’re next plan won’t go much further than, “don’t vote for the black witch”. I look forward to her giving him a good kicking.

Bottom Bracket Bearing Puller (Expanding Type)

I’ve got some of their hub bearing presses so just ordered a bottom bracket extractor from the above. Not much more than the cheap type you’re looking at.

I’ve got an 18″ Scandal gathering dust in the shed. Really nice light frame, very capable. Keep thinking I should turn it into a gravel bike or something but it’s unlikely to ever happen.

I asked a similar question a few weeks ago and got some TLD Flowline shorts. For my son with a 28″ waist and 6ft.

Koeman was a great player but he couldn’t defend. Luckily for him he had Gullit etc all round about him.

England v Holland, two teams more than capable of a 0-0 draw despite awful defending. Koeman was pretty average as a defender and it shows with this team. We’re in Kilkenny, we watched the England game in the pub with an England supporting Irish barman and now we’re watching the Dutch game with some Dutch fans back at the campsite. Great fun.

I’m not sure Farage wanted to win. I think he’d rather have come a close second, bragged about how well he’d done then scuttled off to America to get whatever scraps the orange oaf throws his way. Now he’s an MP I’d like to see him get much less attention and much greater scrutiny.

I’m starting to think my little wager on the Netherlands might not be so daft.

I was just pulling your leg but TJ is right. I lived in the Borders for my teenage years, Duns to be exact. Couldn’t wait to get away but to be fair it’s changed a lot in the last 30 years, they might even have a choice of coffee shops. My friend has a cafe in Kelso, she’s run it for over 20 years and she has said she’s surprised that they’ve been accepted considering they cook a lot of lentils. One problem with the Borders which I think still exists is the ” because it’s aye been” attitude.

“what makes you believe I’m not already a brogue and tweed wearing Tory?”

I assumed you were. Why else would you be looking where you’re looking?

I’ve been to Coldingham a few times over the years. The last time was two or three years ago and the beach was heaving. It looks like most of Coldingham consists of two caravan parks. I imagine in the winter it is deserted.

This isn’t the best sounding version but I love how the rest of the band are applauding Ed at the end of the song. A beautiful song bookended by wonderful piano. More poignant now that weird Ed isn’t with us.

I think our problem was that we were still trying to play a system that relied on Robertson, Tierney and Hickey creating chances from the flanks. With two of those players and Dykes also missing we needed a different approach but we didn’t have one. With the option of 5 subs Clarke could’ve been bolder and made a change in the first half once he saw how Hungary were sitting back. But that’s not his nature and in his defense a 1-0 win would probably have been enough so I think he decided that Hungary would have to come on to us a bit more and he was waiting for that.
