Yeah that annoys the shite outa me – do you mean the housing buckle on the camera unit ??

Not the camera housing, the chest strap buckle/fastener, it has a tendency to rattle against the chest plate.

Good book Dave, 80% read in the last 2 days. Finishing off the chapter on the Dunwich Dynamo.

Try a bit of tape or velcro behind where the buckle fastens on the chest mount, should dampen the rattle picked up by the GoPro’s mic.

Have one on order to replace a ti coiled DHX rc4 for my DH bike (Yeti 303rdh) with Freeborn,
being told a 3 week delivery time includes set-up.
Couldn’t find many reviews on it either.

Hob Nob, what do you think of the Bos DeVille?

I’ve had the Lifeproof one for over a month now.
Good so far, it’s had a couple of soakings out on the bike with no leaks, not as bulky as other ‘tough cases’ either.
It’s expensive, but so is having to spend £350 replacing a water damaged iphone.

It’s a hateful job, done mine last night.
Supplied grease gun has a habit of not releasing from the zerk nipples.
Have read stories of nipples been pulled out of the lower linkage.
The end of the grease gun can be unscrewed, figure 2 gives you details.

Did an offroad mtb ride with a group of roadies around Xmas, nothing too technical, a few fire road climbs. The “catch up” was just that. As they were resting up I had barely time to catch breath then they were off again! If that’s what a road ride involves I think I would seriously struggle. Don’t mind pushing myself a bit but there was no enjoyment in that one.

Would the 15-17mph be enough to keep up on a group ride?
I see the local club heading out on weekends. Again, no Idea of what they’re averaging or distance covered.

Right, had a crack at them.
The big bearing closest to the crank arms was fine, it was the 3 small outboard bearings in a row that were wrecked, seals were worn out. Didn’t help that the small O-ring was fitted in the wrong place from the start. The small O-ring sits in a groove on the axle inset of the 3 small bearings.
Had bother removing one of the small bearings, the tool only tapped out the inner race leaving a lot of hammering with a small flat blade screwdriver to dig out the remaining outer race.
So from crank-arm to axle end it goes.
Large bearing, large seal, small O-ring (on axle groove), 3 small bearings, crush/washer, then the screw to hold it all securely in place

Three tiny bearings and one large load bearing per pedal in the kit.
geetee, do you have a link to the internal diagram?

Googled this too and yours is the first post it brings up.
My Podiums develop an annoying squeak after doing 10 to 15 dry miles.
Might be a job of greasing existing bearings/axle instead of replacing them.
Got the bearing removal tool (with no instructions) and bearing kit yesterday.
Will have a go at stripping a pedal later and keep a note of bearing, seal, crush/washer order.

Biketart had been showing out of stock/awaiting delivery for weeks.
A quick phone call to find out an estimated delivery date and I was told they had
my size and colour in stock. Ordered there and then and arrived 2 days later.

Happened a few times to me.
Held the lap/reset button in on unit before turning off to clear the activity.
Always connected Garmin to computer with Garmin’s power off.

Fitted a Fox air tuning spacer to my Nomad C 2 weeks ago.
O-ring sag meter sits higher on the shock shaft now,
worth a go for £25 and it’s only 5 minute install.

Gaffer tape between the chest plate and the buckle.
Both have a tendency to rattle together going over any rough stuff, sound is picked up on the cameras mike

Thanks Ruscle, so the shock still runs with the standard 3 position Propedal damping.
Liked the idea of the new adaptive logic damping can be switched to a sort of lock-out.

If your SC Blur is like my Nomad it will maybe need a low mount top-pull mech.
Had problems with the cable on a conventional mount mech rubbing on rear triangle.

Had a few knocks to the ribs lately so invested in a Troy Lee 5900 chest protector.
Has back, shoulder and chest plates. Chest plates have panels that wrap around to the back plates.
It’s light, well ventilated and panels can be removed with a hex key.
Doesn’t look too bulky under a DH jersey either.

Industry 9’s All Mountain or the slightly heavier Enduros
Really fast pick-up hubs, 120 point engagement.
Aluminium spokes (comes with 4 spares).
Choice of colours for both hubs and spokes.
Have the Enduro set for a few months and have been great.
Can be fitted to standard 32 hole rims

Got an item dispatched email yesterday even though I haven’t order anything lately.
Phoned CRC to find out it’s an item ordered and paid for over 2 years ago.
    Beat that for service!
