Pedal for scotland took a 113 mile route from glasgow centre to haymarket so perfect for train

It headed down the old 77 so you could link from prestwick easily enough

    https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/220772098

Feel free to take info etc. From this

Scam for sure. I am getting loads of texts from “royal mail” or “fed-ex” saying a package couldn’t be delivered, click the link etc. Its all bull crap. The bad thing is some carriers do text you so easy thing to click.

Glenshee had full plans to go bike park drawn up but never progressed due to reasons.

I think the diversification of them into proper parks would be an amazing revenue stream for the local areas. I am just over an hour from the coe but have never ridden it,i think the black is beyond me and if I am going a big drive to ride I would want more than the 1 trail. If however there were a couple reds, blue flow trail, something slower but techy (like top chief) i would be there!

Lightweight I have done this but its really low profile and you have to make sure wind is behind you.

The real struggle is those who dont want independance and feel another referendum will just damage trade, investment and the economy (like all periods of uncertainty) but who dont support conservative policy or direction either. Labour is just as devisive and really Lib Dem is about the right direction but surely a wasted vote.

Amacing circuit which makes the cars look fast, multiple lead changes. Winner in third at one point. Last minute gasps at fastest lap, alpine scoring decent points, alonso overtaking lots, Lando proving he is real talent. But yet i agree, somehow dull!

I have a one up tool in the stem with plyers and bacon strips in the stash and enduro strap bag with 2x co2 and a tube, juice also on the bike. Having no pack is brill!

I use this for most rides bar big days out when I ride with a pack with pump, shock pump, chain link plyers, tyre boot, more juice, first aid, emergency waterproof, tick remover, smidge, glasses wipes, food and extra gloves (in case of wet or manky) and also spare gear inner (for dropper or gear cable snapage) and a proper chain tool/several quick links.

I had a similar poor and costly experience with the 5-0. A HGVtruck drove into my car (small 2 seater) at the entrance to a roundabout and dragged me into a barrier. They then drove off. I wasnt injured but the car was a right mess and I was pretty scared!

PC plod arrived, was more concerned I cleared the road to allow traffic flow that catching this guy.

We had the name of the company on side of hgv, witnesses who confirmed this and actual bits of the product the truck was hauling which had landed on my car during the collision. (Made.in a factory about 5 miles from the incident) However company denied anyone was there and case closed.

When I complained they asked if I had tried chasing the company myself to ID a driver.

Utter frustration and no confidence in police to sort anything ever.

Sorry you have experienced the same. I wonder if in a few years time enquiries into the police failing will become a big thing from people chasing compensation. Could be the next PPI…..

I have a 3 bike velocolpact and can easily get 2 burly bikesnon there. 3 is a squeeze and requires deft positioning of cranks and rack arms but is still totally fine once you have it.
The arms can connect in many places so you just have to find a gap…

Hi. This may sound bizarre but did you ask a couple of people you passed today?

I was asked if I had dropped something as you describe when I rode by someone today not far from firebeaters…..

We got one with a tunnel entry (so no zip to forget to close) and net inside the springs.

It sits in a mini playpark with 100mm deep rubber chippings beneath it.

Anyone over 5 needs to bounce alone and it has limited bounce depth so smashy shin injury is limited.

So it’s safeish but i still reckon its just time before there is more than an owie…

On the other side its used every day and the kids get plenty exercise on it.

Like others i had pedalcover for a year 2 years ago then premiums went through the roof.

Went with esure, all bikes declared named and agreed value

When i bought the HB130 the premuim came down as a new one is less than a new nomad was.

Still best value and cover I can find on any comparison site.

Used slik for years. Quality is a lot better than a couple of local ones i have tried. Postage takes a week or so.

Technically all these firms are breaking copyright (pretty sure no one has fox or rockshox permission to copy thier logos for profit) so thats a choice you need to make.

Hi. Asking questions at interview is VERY important. It shows interest, thought, and if done correctly shows you are keen on the job but want to ensure that its right for you and also allows you to challenge/go over anything you were not sure about. Always ask questions, even of just clarifying parts of the job.

Best question imo is “do you have any concerns about me” and second is “anything you wanted me to cover in the interview which I didn’t or go over again?”

Interviews are stressful on both sides, especially in a public sector setting where challenges are more likely to come and HR more likely to be involved…

Best questions I have been asked are “Do you think you are lucky?” and “How patient are you?”

Both threw me completely and made me think…

Got 2 mac rides. Love them and it was instrumental in getting my mrs into cycling for family adventure.

My oldest is a huge 4 and is probably too big now so will likely have one for sale.

Mate has a shotgun and loves it but it doesnt quite have the refinement of the mac ride and doesnt swap bikes as easily.

Nb Longer the top tube the better for peddling, on my big bike I can get my knees behind my kid and have done most of the red at glentress coupled with some techy local with a kid on board :)

Genuinely think many, many people think lockdown is completely over.

Facebook and strava feeds full of people deciding the rules dont count for them anymore and travelling well out of LA area to mtb. Fav was a falkirk guy in 2 weeks posting about his trips to Aberfoyle, Stirling and then Golfie and wondering why a couple of people gave him jip..

Its 3 weeks. Come on guys just wait it out.

I think there is a lot more to this.

I have seen scenarios where a good employee had a major fu and as a favour, been advised to resign (keeping reputation and references) rather than face disciplinary, stress, eventual sacking anyway plus loss of reputation and a reference saying “fired for gross misconduct” which would make getting a new job hard.

Providing care for a relative is most definetly a reasonable excuse.

I live in causewayhead so close to the council borders and often on and the roundabout you turn left to to get to b and q from clacks to take mrs. to work (pretty much on the boundry line)

It is absolutely heaving with traffic coming from clacks into stirling and beyond. You will have no worries!!

I had a 17 plate e 220 amg estate as my last company car. It was massive inside, super comfy, fast and due to being the premium plus had every toy imaginable (like 64 different interior colours and an amazing burmaster stereo.)

It was significantly cheaper to lease than equivalent a6, 5 series, v90 etc.and far better spec.

From auto trader you can pick one up similar age with sub 20k miles for 20k. Equivalent v90 is 20 to 30% more.

Thats silly cheap for such a premuim car, mine had about 20k miles and still felt brand new when it went.

It still amazes me the size.of ships we can make. Watching science fiction and seeing 3 or 400m long spaceships thinking how could we buld that then you realise just how big some of the big, big tankers are.

I managed to contact the real Happy Nappers company who got back to me. Seems they are doing all they can but these scammers are still getting away with it….

    Good morning,

    Thank you for your email.

We are aware of a fraudulent website happynappersuk. When we first became aware of this site we alerted Trading Standards and the Police and contacted the company responsible for the postal address listed on the website. We have also reported the site to Google. We are aware that the site is still up and we are updating the authorities continuously. We would advise you to contact your bank/card provider or payment provider to report this as a fraud. We would also advise you report this to Action Fraud and also your local Trading Standards office through Citizens Advice.

    Many thanks
    Geoff

Are the powers that be either terribly inefficient or that weak they cant do anything about this?

Strava is a strange phenomenon. I dont care but I really do.

On Friday I rode a trail i have ridden over a hundred times, didnt feel fast at all/some muddy bits but took 22s of my PB. It was def an error but I still took it happily.

Another trail i was riding with a mate. I started first and he took of just after me, 2 or 3 seconds at most behind me. We finished the trail side by side. Our times? He was 18seconds faster. Should I have cared? No. Did I? Yes! I bitched about it for days.

So sad, it goes to show how cancer can hit anyone. Still young, still very fit and healthy but cancer doesn’t care.
