Yes. For what you are wanting should be all ok. The biggest improvement you could make would be sound deadoning behind the speakers, dynamat us dead east to fit.

As no one has anawered the watts question.. rms equals root mean square and is a reasonably accurate way to describe how many watts a speaker can handle or stereo can produce. Most values are quoted as max wattage and are bullcrap!. 20w rms is an ok amount for instance but you never see a 20 watt per channel stereo. You also want more source rms than speaker, allows headroom and will mean you can get the most out of a speaker without pushing the internal amp of your stereo.

I have one. Its simply awesome. Have it set up with pike flow ex on hope xt brakes etc.. rides things you wouldnt think a hardtail could. You have to learn how to float the rear a bit with all that travel but its more fun than my nomad…

    Piccy as below…

We have 2 massive beds in the garden (5m x2m each) plus a fruit tree raised bed.

This year was thin due to baby arriving but still growing peas, potatoes, kale, carrots, beetroot, onions, various lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes in the green house.

Takes a bit of work and for sure cheaper buying from tesco but the flavour is amazing and nothing beats popping out to the garden for salad for your sandwich!

Got pikes on mine. Had 36s on the strive. Think pike better overall, 36s were brill at smashing through stuff though

I ran mavic crossrides for years and didnt die. Including a run down the fort bill world cup track(on a 120mm full suss!) and they were still true. Wouldnt want to have to replace a spoke though…

Original superstar nano are great and cheap but if willing to spend the vaults cant be matched. Love them and really easy to service.

Thanks. Those steady rack seem on point. The ones i linked to say you cant fit a 2.3 tyre in. I had a handcrafted woden thing in my head but shiny works too!

They swept the fort bill world cup course as its too dusty. Wish someone would do dumyat, slid all the way from the top to the fence! We need rain here…

That calibre is stonking for the cash. Was always of the opinion a 1k susser would be utter gash but that proved me wrong.

Hey. Mine (green 27) started as a 26 as i had brand new revs and hope/flow ex. I managed to get a deal on a 650b pike and ran that with 26. Bought cheap 650b wheels to see difference and eventually bought new hope/flow ex in 650b

It gives a slightly higher bb so helped with pedal strikes and a slightly longer wheelbase so a little more stable but biggest difference was it rolled better. It felt different enough to warrant the change. If doing you need a rear brake adaptor…

Designed by a stirling based mtber. Much less to get in the way than other seats here and can do some serious trails. Needs to be a bit older though…

I had a go at sq a few years ago. The IASCA test cd was used and was perfect for this. Tests everything from correct polarity and channel set up to ability to reproduce low 20s hz. Must be some out there on ebay or talk audio as i had 2 at one point and sold one and most mates doing it had a couple of copies just in case.

As for the guy saying you cant tell difference between mp3 and cd in a car due to background noise dear me. Never heard of dynamat? On a decent system its very clear and so is a poorly produced cd.

“Squadification”. Basicly doing things together as a team with everyone being utilised for their specific skills. Blame spotify for that one.

I got flow ex built onto pro 2 hubs by my lbs. Lighter than the enduros and wider at 25mm so give my tyres a lovely profile. On a shan 160mm hardtail at just over 20psi so rear takes a pounding and they are still true and dent free. A lot was in the skill of the wheelbuilder but they were just over 400 set up tubeless and applying custom vinyls I supplied.

Did most of the dh on a 140mm hardtail. Wasnt fast but i am still alive. Just do it!

Crossovers just seperate sound frequencies. They dont amplify it. You really need a tweeter for high 4/5/6inch mid and a sub but all channels need amped really.

Active just means a built in amp but needs a low level input ie RCAs.

Are you just looking to get louder or clearer?

Had one to borrow when my lexus was getting some damage someone did to it fixed. Horrible car. Looked great but drove terribly. Spacious though so maybes a bike in the back but even for a small cheap car just not nice.

I am 5.10 and went for a medium, no regrets!

    I specced it as follows

    160mm pike RTC3
hand built flow ex 25mm on hope hubs
    xt 1×10 with a 40t superstar expander and 32n/w
race face atlas bar (800mm) and stem (50mm)
    xt brakes
    superstar nano pedals
    reverb dropper
currently running huge 2.4 hands dampf
    wheels BB and PP headset.
some custom green graphics from slik

its an absolute weapon, only slightly slower than my nomad and more fun on the right stuff :)

Surprised no one has mentioned the mr2 roadster. We loved ours and the mrs used it everyday for stirling to edinburgh commute till it got hit by a truck. Toyota reliabilty (watch the exhaust filter stuff) and mid engine rear wheel drive fun. 3k will get you one easily.

I did my own. 4m by 3 m. Total cost was nearly 1k (plus a crate of beers for my mate) but i did it properly with lots of drainage and top quality deckboard. 3k for yours sounds reasonable tbh…
