Can you ride the Mega course in the month leading up to the race or is it only open for the race week?

I got mine recently and had the same problem, bled it (twice) and it didn’t fix it. Connected a pump and there was hardly any pressure so pumped it up and it worked fine. I was really happy with it on its first ride but it’s lost pressure through the week and now is back to not working so looks like I got a leaky one :(

Two things you might want to google are the Jura which are the hills all along the north side of Lake Geneva and the Saleve which is Geneva’s ‘local’ mountain and has a cable car you can take your bike up on. Both have good riding

I’m a spotify subscriber and I buy kindle books. I torrent TV shows though and will keep doing it until there’s a straightforward way to buy them on my terms. How do I sleep at night? Not well, I’m always up late watching all this stuff I’ve pirated!

If you’re going to buy a bike you won’t ride at least buy a good looking one

Following someone’s wheel over doubles helps you judge the right speed which is the trickiest bit imo

Yeah definitely budget something for stuff breaking and having to replace it at Alps bike shop prices. If you do decide to rent it’s probably worth packing your own pedals as they’ll likely be nicer than what’s on the rental

Old Audi A6 Estate. Happily swallows a bike with both wheels on

I really like my gopro but you’d struggle to use it as a camera without the lcd

I can recommend using a withings scale or similar. Having a running log of your weight really helps with motivation I find

If you get 50% off spesh/giant get a spesh or giant

It looks like being a non-responder means don’t worry if training doesn’t make you really quick/fit, it can still make you healthier

I have this exact same problem. It’d be great if anybody who’s solved it could post close-up pics of how they get it pointing up more. This was the best I could get it but I’d still like it looking higher

    I’ll pop along for that

    Megeve

Got any more details on Megeve? I’ve just moved to Geneva and that’s one of the closest places

Chest mount looks so much better for biking than helmet mount it has to be the gopro imo

It was ahead of its time, but there are quite a few low and slack shorter-travel bikes around now. If they’re going cheap enough though why not?

The Atlas Mountains in Morocco or the Canary Islands?

It’s definitely on my list for next year. When does registration normally open each year?

The best cheap alternative to a new gopro is a used gopro

It’s probably just as good as the attempts at mountain bikes by road-only manufacturers i.e. not bad, but few on here would buy one

    Bugger. Anyhoo…
How fast was it? I’m obviously on my phone here and couldn’t make the speed out!!

Looks like 19 to me, though can’t see if it’s mph or kph

Gonna put the spacers in to lower the revs to 130 this week to give it a go

Personally I’d try increasing the compression damping first. I wouldn’t lower the front end if I was worried about going over the bars

    Moar compression damping

Exactly, if you went OTB on a slow rocky section you need to up the low-speed compression damping
