My snow plans are now officially over…

Last years trip to Alpe D’Huez ended suddenly (literally) with 5 broken vertebrae…

Looks like my days on the snow are over, however, if anyone wants a cheap set of Ride MIG bindings let me know 🙂

i have felt down all week…

    never met him…but…

he had something, he had an edge, how was different, he was not intimidated by the aliens, the spat with lorenzo at the press conference summed him up, when he pauses and says “i will be arrested” turns and wryly smiles at the audience…perfect..

I had it on on sunday, but was playing dollies with my daughter, saw the aftermath, saw the helmet and thought oh dear, but when i saw it was Sic suddenly i felt awful…my daughter at 2 1/2 sensed something and asked if i was okay and would the man be okay who fell off his motorbike…..

awful day, awful week, motogp will be a duller place now

    RIP #58

    well i went after a swift visit to the debenhams blue cross sale, so it was;

mantaray shirt (£18 reduced from £36
Gap straight legged wool trousers ((ith a carhatt belt)
    dark brown skechers boots…

    job done…

however the host was in a black suit, black shirt black tie (that lasted one hour!)

The hostess however had some sort of gown on that looked like something you would wear to a dinner dance.

However, by far the most common outfit for th emen was Clarkson chic jeans shirt suit jacket combo (with those funny brown suede loafers??

Hungover today so must have enjoyed it 🙂

Thanks for all the advise and amusing fashion tips…off to the garage to fettle me bike now in “streetwear” i believe

think the nerve am and xc frames stay the same, new paint jobs and more 2×10, their facebook page has a few pics of the nerve am, and when i emailed them about stock they said mid october so probably very soon…

just got a broken one on the classisfied as i had a broken trailtech Hid with good bulb and ballast.

However, the trailtech ones (same as Lumi used) have the lens and reflector built in, the L&M one has a seperate reflector and uses the clear glass in the can for the lens so the two are not intercangeable.

SO off to LED conversion world it is for me unless someone can sugges and L&M bulb supplier for less than £30??

so I have my LEd board, my optic, my driver, just struggling to find a heatsink without resorting to machine shops..

PLanning on using my old rush (trailtech) hid housing, so could do with a decent waterproof switch with an LED and rear mounted…

Done the usual searches but can’t find anything at rapid RS etc so would appreciate any tips and pointers for UK suppliers…

been off since march with 4 broken vertbrae as a result of a snowboarding incident..

rode the wifes hybrid round a camp site a few weeks ago and it felt okay if not brilliant and then rode my fixie round the car park which was surprisingly more comfortable..

Just waiting for a CT scan in september to make sure all my metal work has bone growing round it…

    boring…

we did it in two and a bit days, camped at Washington first night, then YHA in Alfriston second day leaving a leisurely bimble into eastbourne for fish and chips on the sea front, then the train home….

Alfriston is a nice spot to stop, YHA is cheap and a pub in walking distance and secure bike storage…

Thorouighly enjoyed it, mainly because we had no plans and no dealines, if i was rushing the bit where my rack broke may have been more of a concern, but as it was it was a great weekend…plus we went wrong quite a few times on the navigation front

oh and just to be clear the CB i was wearing was a SnoDome, so no rucksack part, which had a little less padding in it than things like my M.U.L.E and H.A.W.G

just to be clear i had nothing in my pack but the bladder. and it was the filler going through my spine as i felt it, plus where my vertebrae broke was high up between my shoulder bladed where the filler sits, i did land hard on it but once i am fixed i will be swapping my CB bladders for something else with no hard plastic. Not trying to scaremonger here but just making people aware of what could happen if you are unlucky like me…

    Steelsreal

I would look at ones without any large hard filling spouts…..

if you fall hard on a solid filler they can do serious damage….

i have two rods, ten screws and a cage in my spine to prove this…

we arranged a chopper bike tour on the synday we were there and it was excellent. Started at the bottom of the ramblas and went across the harbour down the beach, up to the bull ring, and then pn to the other sites. 3 beers included and we had a very informative guide…

The bikes hadn’t seen oil in a while and mine was an 8ft long low rider with shonky brakes but the locals did not seem to bat an eye lid at 12 40 year olds riding on the pavement…even had a race through a park…quite mad
