looking for something similar, netbook on last legs, need something that will run Virtual DJ and have at least 3 usb ports for sound cards in my mixer, seems the world has moved on and i’m a bit lumbered!

There is an ASUS netbook bit its something daft like £800 !

Can buy a cheapy EEEPc or MSI from Argos but they seem a bit basic…

Someone must do a small 11″ or less netbook / laptop for under £300 nowadays or have we all gone tablet mad?

I’ve often wondered if there has been any research or just knowing if a Camalbak will provide any protection ?

I know it won’t cover the lower back but unfortunately nothing will protect 100 %

In a word no, not on the bike, but on a snowboard and wearing a camelbak (just a little snobowl one), landed on the filler lid.(going fairly quickly but no different to many a fall whilst boarding)..result was 5 broken vertebrae, which required two rods, ten screws and a spinal cage, plus three weeks in grenoble hospital.

Interested in a protector now as really don’t relish the thought of falling on my meccano..

Are there an D3O ones maybe…

Like the idea of an Evoc but can’t wear a pack directly on my back though as the weight makes it feel all funny

the £40k tags on some of the T5s put me off too, so paid a fraction for mine..

I have had T4s T25s etc etc since i was alad and they were then cheap(!)

Now I have a wife and child requirements have changed, was thinking a T5 kombi with a temporary bed in the back that we could all squeeze into on occasion..

Then a MWB VW LT came up near where i live, converted to a very nice spec. Has a fixed bunk for my daughter and a massive bed for me and the wife that converts out of the rear seats.

Stove, sink, fridge, mains hook up, toilet (good with kids) and loads of room. Probably paid over the odds for it but I now have a no compromise van, can go to bed without moving stuff around and is very comfy for the odd overnight.

Bikes go on the back as the under bed storgae is full of chairs awning tables etc

    absolutely love it

would always choose a soft bladder from experience ! the hard caps on camelbaks don’t half hurt if you land on them hard!!!

Just my opinion, can show my x rays if required 🙂

i bought one at xmas when they wer £50, and they are okay.

Not brilliant, quite a few issues to sort, read the HUKD pages on them re getting things like iplayer working (lyp sync is always out so yuo have to use xnmc!)

DOes struggle with a lot of things but for the money its fine. Use mine to keep my daugyter entertained in the car on long journeys etc..

Just don’t expect an ipad/ galaxy for £64!

You sure you can’t sort the windows, sort of thing that puts people off as it look like it hasn’t been looked after..

Other things like colour, tailgate or twin back doors, three seats, two seats…

Higthepig…thats the setup, but iof i shorten the platic sleeve will that not make the whole thing off centre?

Even in the position shown in that pic, with the arms being parallel, the bridge cable hits the stop….

Guessing the best solution is an old fashioned bridge cable..

Had both the hotrock is a strange size, quite long and low, my daughter never really clicked with it and other than finding the coaster hilarious whilst I was towing her on a trailgator it wasn’t for us.

Now got a cnoc 16 and it just fits better has neat little levers she can reach and pull on (th hotrocks has a caliper brake which is hard to apply for little hands) ..

Plus on selling hotrock lost about 50%, on selling Cnoc i don’t think i’ll lose much at all (bought second hand)

I used the Post Office, they use fortis insurance.

Now cover seemed reasonable but a i had a slight mishap and broke my back, I have fully tested their service and cannot fault it..

Plenty of calls all bills paid with no issues, and refunded things like TV bill in my room and best of all repatriated me on a piper cub with Peter the Pilot & a nurse and a doctor (who had digestives and tea!)

Flew home, ambulance on tarmac which took me home.

They also paid for mu wife to fly out and see me for 5 days which included transfers to and from airports both ways na d ahotel and meals.

So for me Post office/fortis all the way…

think its a time limit on being in a car seat position for new borns. Paranoid wife had us stopping every 1 1/2 hours for an hour when ours was first born. Made visiting the inlaws in cornwall a all day trip! But in her defence daughter is now quite tall 🙂

As for the focus isofix, my sister had it fitter to her 07, no cutting of seats and it is just bolt in, wish other car makes made it so simple

mmmmmm, i’ve got my money back that’s the main thing has everyone else?

Did it on the Lillehammer track a few years ago, the bobsleigh seemed to be made out of scrap metal with some wheels from a wheelbarrow and no suspension (the concrete isn’t as smooth as it looks so that matters!). When we got to the bottom I realised I’d been holding on so tightly I’d removed big chunks of skin from my hands

That one looks positively luxurious compared to the latvian attempt. all was well until i decided to look out during the corkscrew turn….two days of drinking very nearly caught up with me at that point….

    Steelsreal

did it in Latvia on th eolympic track, bit scary and the bobsleigh had some interesting welding to say the least..

Helmets that they provided were all cracked and some had holes…very fast though
