not sure mine is still in the box as i have run out of funds to pay for the drives! (cue current usb hard drive failing any minute)

I was going for it in the garage/ loft/ cupboard under the stairs..

i imagine its about the same noise as a desktop PC though

i reckon this is a great idea, i can;t board anymnore due to a fused spine, so getting to the snow and having a bimble about the footpaths on an FB whilst mates board means i can still go and enjoy it…

Morzine got any decent footpaths i could try?? (next years group boarding destination)..

Just head back from UB and they have no firm delivery date for the replacement calipers yet. They also have no HYrd in stock either, so could be without my commuter for an indefinite period!

Looks like i’ll be commuting fixed!!!

just the mechanical ones from reading it, to do with full extension of the arm with worn pads letting some bearings out…ooo err..

Looks like a couple of week wait for replacements..(new year i am guessing!)

use a works components slackset on my scandal and it works a treat. Have a hope headset on my FS and that has a special crown race to allow straight steerers.

All work as they should really…

wife is a swimmiong teacher and spends most of her time teaching grown ups out of bad habits that they have got themselves into.

I surfed a lot as a youth so my swimming style ended up head up, fast arms and like you i struggle to do “slow” swimming that you see everyone in a pool doing..

Wife has taught me and it does get better, keeping head down, breathing out, and realising that my front crawl arm movements are all wrong!

Think there are some interesting videos on YT for drills etc, VO2 have ome good ones.

A pool boy float between your knees also helps as it allows you to concentrate on your arms…

Lessons is the other option, but they are not cheap..

Had T4s & T5s now have a MWB LT35 and absolutely love it.

It is big, but not that big and the extra space over a new transporter is really noticable, especially when away for weeks at a time.

Set up similar to Spookys so have 3 seats in front, two mini bus seats in the rear with a kitchen down the side, then a single bed across the back with a boot under where my daughter sleeps.

Seats fold down to a kingsize bed, have a fridge, two burner hob and sink. Also have a bunk in that goes in the cab if we have a sleep over!

Don’t drive it every day which is key i think

oh crumbs, just a usb drive plugged into my o2 wireless router, everything can see it and no PCs on…

Slightly out of depth here, by the way, i may have used wrong terminology but by a process of experimentation i have something that works….sort of!

similar with my back after i broke it and landed up fused and caged!

Constant dull pain, like you, take ibuprofen and paracetamol when it gets bad, its a balancing act as i find the more i exercise, swimming & riding, the easier it gets. I am nearly 3 years in now and sometimes it almost goes away, then i comes back again..

Interested in what alternatives are there, and as i’m in Eastleigh (i run the roller racing mob in Hampshire) local things could be of interest as well…

not much help but think you just have to be positive and grateful like you say that they saved your foot

What tyres for my pram 🙂

    Solution in the classifieds?

    Will never be accepted…

    My 2p

Lie flat prammy thing is a must (spine being flat or something)

Make sure it fits in the boot of your car (expensive lesson!)

Make sure you can (both) fold it with one hand!(another sweaty red faced lesson trying to fold a crazy mechanism whilst being watched by 15 new mums all tutting at my incompetence)

Never used the maxi cosi car seat in the push chair (see point 1 re spines)

Make sure you have enough room in storage area under said vehicle for everything you own!

You will never go “off road” (probably)

preparing to have all my points disagreed with…

I would say so, Winchester Hotel is on the edge of the city centre http://www.thewinchesterhotel.co.uk/, nice pubs around cathedral square, wykham arms, the vine, usual prezzo zizzi, pizza places, farmer market on a sunday if you time it well, walking down the river to st catherines hill and along the old viaduct…

Nip over Upham, Twyford way for more pubs walks etc

I have two 160ah lesure batteries and LED lights plus a fridge (Waeco CR40 compressor) and various 12v charging things.

With the fridge on I can easily run for about 4 days, without the fridge..ages. Current plan is to add a 100w ish solar panel on the roof which xshould help eek that out a bit. Will cost about £400 fitted from http://www.travelvolts.co.uk

What is the invertor for? Laptop or ipad? If so you are inverting 12v to 240 to then be inbverted back by the PSU, so maybe look for a 12v charger or usb charger..

Old Play stations are 12v, as are many little LCD tvs…if you keep everyhing DC life will be simpler…

When i finsihed the very shouty man on the PA was reminding people every couple of minutes. I finsihed at about 5ish so there were plenty of people aropund in the mizzle!

Discovered changing your elixir pads the morning of the ride may result in a draggy back brake that you do not notice until the end! Wondered why i struggled getting a rhythm on the downs link!!(that is my official excuse and i am sticking to it!)

similar thought shere though in my early forties, made all the more real by my Dad dieing in April whhih has really made me think..

He worked from 15 – 85 and loved every minute (a sailor and latterly a captain of a big yacht thing) retired when the yacht was sold and died a year or so later!

At his funeral there were many amazing stories and none of them started “one day in the office…”

Would really like to do something I love, maybe in bikes or something, that would let me spend more time with my family and have a bit more flexibility..

Run a little cycling event company with a mate but never going anywhee that would make it financially viable, also have a bit of a windfall from my dad which means my mortgage could be paid off very soon…

I just hate sitting in an office at a company that is going nowhere…

what to do….and would i have the balls???

Yes, I know there are many on here who get through 1 pipette of water per hundred miles and if they are getting thirsty just lick their eyeballs, but I get through my 1.5 litre camelbak on a 35-40 mile road ride.

I too seem to drink a lot and fdon’t like rationing myself…

I have a wingnut but that only works if i keep it light, any weight and gives me gip with my back…

Seen this Elite monstrosity that may help but looks like scaffolding!

some helpful answers (some not so!), revelate thing looks good, frame bag could work but have a horsethief as well which has not bottle bosses (except the silly US bottom of down tube thing)
