Had a FR with 17s as well. Very nice car had the 150 diesel which was nippy enough and okay on fuel.

Not the most exciting car and the fr seats in my 2016 one seemed to mark easily and looked stained from early on.

Boot is okay, split floor is better on the low setting, my bike would not stand up in it and had to go on its side. Tended to use a tow bar rack. Tow bar was super expensive from the dealer but was removable although they clearly did not have a straight edge to cut the bumper to!

Got some roof bars i would sell if you get one

i bought the mother in law an AK47 £5 on e-bay to prove a point.

I paid £5.12 with free P&P now by my reckoning the seller got £4.62 minus whatever the first class stamp it came with was….

amazon stance is that they own the market, what a seller sells is nothing to do with them.

And do not forget that many shops have no stock at all and are just spoofing other shops stock..

Amazon have a big issue with fake stores. It is all down to how they use ASINs products. So if you list an item it is given an ASIN, anyone listing the same or similar canthen use that ASIN.

So take a genuine seller who sells Gas Monkey Garage T shirts. They set up a shop and crate 20 ASINS. They then set their price and sell away.

I can then open a marketplace shop and using a ASIN scrpaer get all theri ASINs in an Excel spreadsheet. THen in my shop i upload that and set my prices at less than half with a dispatch tome of two weeks.

People will buy these and I then mark as dispatched. At that point Amazon pay me.

Buyer waits two weeks, never receives anything and then complains, by which time the money is gone via several accounts/ paypals and i created a shop with fake details anyway.

    Amazon then refund you.

However, the damage is done the genuine seller is lumped in with the dodgy one as they share the ASIN and loses business because of this.

Some or all may be an actual experience i am facing now but amazingly Amazon do not seem to care…

close door button does work as suggested, but the detectors on the door edges may stop the doors from closing. Some detectors are “3d” and actually sense things close to the doors not just in the way.

Also true of full height detectors which replaced magic eyes thanks to DDA…

now back to the planet x thread….

as bear uk said, leon is a realy bice drive and comfy too. Octavia seemed miles wider when we tested one as there are only three of us went for the ST.

Sat nav is pants but as they are both VAG think that will be the same on both 🙂

I am that fickle i would wish i had the Leon if i bought the Skoda. Got mine on a 0% PCP and bargained hard for the towbar so got a better deal on the Seat

leon st 150 here its okay but nowhere near as big as the octavia, which i kind of wish i had got.

use a towbar rack and took four of us with gear to afan no problem the other weekend so pretty good.

driving is nice I have the FR so get different modes, nice and nippy. Mate with an S3 said it felt torquey when loaded up so pretty good and computer says average of 50mpg over the 9k i have done in six months!

Not tried a bike in but has a weird floor where you have the boot loor high to make it level with the rear seats for flat loading but that makes the boot quite a bit smaller.

I would say the Octavia is far more suited to bike inside but the Leon (in FR mode) is a smaller sportier car i my opinion (only test drove an octavia VRS TDI)

oh and i stook it steady when i got back on my bike, road road only, and that helped(except the bit where i crashed on a slimy road and knocked myself out!).

Think bike fit is important as if I am over stretched it adds to the issue…

I had a surgical fusion t8-t12 about 5 years ago with metal work and a spinal cage after a snowboarding incident!

I have to say that I still feel pain most days, some better than others, and if i spend a day on my feet like I did yesterday then it does hurt a lot.

However for riding I find that it does help, in moderation though, long long days can have teh same effect in terms of pain but if i dont ride I seem to suffer as well so like all things it seems to be about balance.

Mine is a bit higher than yours though so I have less issues, i suppose, with load and more with reach, so I ride a shorter bike (not easy these days!).

Oh and ibuprofen is your friend as is a good mattress.

I take mine as it comes as mine was an accident so could have been so much worse.

Not sure this will help but hopefully I at least can relate to the weird sensation of having a bit of your back that no longer moves…
