I have the non GTX version. They’re a pain to get into, the inner sock is really tight. At least you have a strap to work with!

We feed ours Eden kibble, various flavours available. He loves it, still bounces about every meal time in excitement.

Other than that, the odd bit of raw.

    And socks.

    And slippers.

I’ve had a mixed experience. MTR shell jacket shed its taped seams after 2/3 washes, button came off a pair of Singletrack shorts early on and just this weekend my MT500 shorts have shed their taped seams, although they are quite old.

I like their stuff mostly and it fits pretty well. I have an MT500 softshell that is going strong after about 8 years.

Yours has lasted well. I have an MTR shell jacket that lasted 3 washes before all the taped seams came off. Contacted Endura and they sent me to CRC who never got back to me. Might take them up on the repair service.

Just got myself some new trail shoes, Saucony Peregrine 11’s. Really nice fit, but garish colourway. Got them from RNW, on sale as the 12’s are out in January. Assisted by Mr Dave Norman himself.

Been having pain again in both knees now from tendonisits. Quad type in my right knee, seems to flair up once a week at the minute. The pain in my left knee has moved almost to the inside egde of my knee. Been trying to do strengthening on both.

Are the motors IP rated? Or, at least the housing.

LFT negative today, will test again tomorrow. Feeling fine. Utterly bored with being stuck inside though. I wish I was out in that glorious weather. Oh wait….

Yip, ours was bitten/scratched in a scuffle a couple of weeks ago. Owner didn’t give a toss. Then my gf had a narrow escape yesterday when 2 staffy types got free from a garden and went for her and the dog. Thankfully it didn’t come to anything and a passer by helped out. Apparently the owner didn’t say much either.

Hopefully your pooch will be back to their normal selves soon.

My girlfriend is still waiting on her result, I got mine on Xmas eve, and we both took the test together on the 23rd. Odd.

Yea it what it is. I’d not been feeling great for a couple of days, just cold like symptoms. Feel fine today. Girlfriend was hoping to get home to see her parents but that is off note and I feel bad for that.
Her dad has COPD and Pseudomonas so he is very vulnerable.

Best make good use of the turbo. And I’m glad we got a big turkey.

Just got my result back from yesterday’s PCR test. Positive.

    Merry Christmas.

The amount of plastic that we have manufactured for all these tests, the packaging, must be unbelievable. I have wondered if we could have had different packaging using less plastic.

My girlfriend and I are having cold like symptoms. Booked a PCR for tomorrow but LFTs have been negative. Thankfully we got some delivered at the weekend.

I went through exactly the same thing. I really struggled in the first few months, nevermind days/weeks.

I had panic attacks, didn’t sleep, didn’t eat.

He’s almost 11 months old now and all the hard work is starting to pay off. He can still be really hard work some days and we have seperation issues, but we will keep working at it as we can see the progress in other areas.

Now he is great fun to have around and is great company. He loves everyone and other dogs, he’s always so happy around them. And on another level, he has been a support for me at times when I’ve been struggling with my mental health. I think he can sense it a little bit and tends to lump himself on me and stay close for a bit.

If you want it long term, stick at it.

    Thanks @Houns

I’m hoping to keep my head above water over these next couple of weeks.

I think we will get something along the lines of option 2.

I have my booster booked for 3rd Jan, it was the earliest I could book. We have had walk ins near us, so might try that before Christmas.

So…. given that almost 2 years into this pandemic we are being hindered by a new variant. What is to say that in another two years we are at the same point, another variant, vaccines becoming less effective, and contact restrictions being imposed? It now seems like a never ending cycle that wont let up with restricting our lives. Has Science always saw it as this? Is the end goal just always minimising the burden on healthcare?

Well isn’t that just fantastic news.

Good luck with the tree search. We just put ours up, I would happily go without this year.

I think the first time I hit the bottom drop on Matador at Inners. Admittedly it was slightly off to the right, but having watched a few of my mates hit it no problem I finally plucked up the courage to do it a couple of times. I do have photographic evidence somewhere….

Then you realise that probably 75% of anyone who does Matador probably hits that drop!

Didn’t want to drag myself into this thread again but here I am.

I think if Omicron has taught us anything is that this is how it will be. No more ‘it will be better next year’ or ‘you’ll have a better summer than last’. We will just be waiting until the next variant to flip it all upside down again.

I just can’t be doing with it any longer, I’m already utterly fed up with it. The timing couln’t be worse, with my mum having just into full time care and no doubt I wont get to see her again any time soon in a different country. I just don’t see any positive here, given that graph above based on cases in London. I predict a full January lockdown. The economy is already at breaking point, so this will kill it off I’d think.

Life can just get in the sea.

I guess I don’t feel guilty now for not Zwifting by just doing a ride for 30-45 minutes. I don’t know where to start with all the training rides.

My average power is like 150W, and I’m 80kg. Is there a suitable STW group for me?

Urgh. It feels like March 2020 all over again.

Day one of LFT’s for me as I prepare to fly home on Friday evening. My dad who is visiting my mum in her care home is required to take LFT’s on the day of visiting and a PCR once a week.

Class, perfect timing when I’m due to travel home to see my mother who has just been moved into a care home.

    I love Christmas.

Cool, some more Endura stuff that will rarely be in stock :)

I do like the idea of a gillet.

    Thanks for the reply @stumpy01

Yes, I did have it calibrated but I think it was adjusted. I was amazed how difficult it was to clamp the roller with the correct calibration. I will redo it again.

I’ll try a ramp test tonight.

I’m just selecting a place to ride and then selecting a route within that to suit what distance/elevation I want. I haven’t dived into all the other training options yet.

    Holy thread resurrection batman.

Finally got a rear wheel with a trainer tyre fitted for using with my Tacx Flow. No excuses now….

Couple of things; I need to do an FTP test, but my fitness is so poor I’ll probably not complete it properly. Should I just do one anyway?

What type of rides should I be doing? At the moment I’m just picking a ride that is anywhere between 30m and an hour long, and fairly small elevation. I’m noticing that my avg speeds are quite high, it doesn’t feel right compared to the effort that I would be putting in on an actual road ride. Will I be getting god gains over time by just doing random rides or should I do more specific rides?

I’d say my w/kg is about 1.7/1.8 or so on average.

I’m clearly still in the old school numbers. I’m 6’1′ and have 460mm with a 50mm stem. Next bike will be at least 20mm longer overall.

I need new trail shoes. I have had Inov8 Roclite 290s, but they have fallen apart and weren’t that comfy. They were light, and fairly grippy on all but the softest terrain.

Does anyone have experience with Hoka? I usually take a stability shoe and I have quite flat feet.

Yea, the 12×142 has really limited my options, otherwise I would have been sorted already. Bloody bike standards.

Ordered the Merlin wheels, and they actually had some 105 cassettes in stock too.

I’d previously found a pair of wheels on Merlin, their own brand at a really good price. Just means I’ll also have a spare front wheel. Might just go with those.

Watched the second episode. Certainly highlights the big issues faced by the lake district.

I thought he was just trolling the squirrel lady. Carol Baskin of the lakes.

Yea, I am hoping my dad can get his own health in order, this is as much about him as my mum at the minute. He was suffering really badly.

Any bit of wonder we have a chip shortage when wing mirrors are now 2 cameras and 2 internal screens!

This episode was okay, I quite like that little Mink camper trailer.

Congrats! I passed my MOD2 almost a year ago and have had my bike since March this year.

I found the test fairly straight forward. I was more nervous of the MOD1.

Based in Manchester if anyone fancies a ride out. Dry road days only ;)

    Some solid numbers up there….

I’ve ran a total of….drum roll please….27 miles. Also only 560 miles on my bikes. My worst year by a very very long way.
