Ive recently done this, i changed my ratios completely transforming my bike for the better, I now run a 28t inner ring and a 38t middle, had to move my mech down, however now i have a sram 11-28 cassette gave me more usable gears for fast singletrack.

    Chicken Tikka Masala

    • 1 fresh red chilli, deseeded
    • 1 clove of garlic, peeled
    • 15g fresh ginger
    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • a pinch of paprika
    • ½ tablespoon garam masala
    • a teaspoon of tomato puree
    • 3 sprigs of fresh coriander, leaves picked and chopped, stalks reserved
    • 400g chicken breast, diced into 2.5cm pieces
    • 1 small onion, peeled and sliced
    • 1 red pepper, deseeded and sliced
    • 1 green pepper, deseeded and sliced
    • a pinch of ground cinnamon
    • a pinch of ground coriander
    • a pinch of turmeric
    • 1 x 400g tin plum tomatoes
    • 100ml plain yoghurt
    • 100ml double cream

the marinade will need to be prepared the day before so the chicken can marinate overnight

    For the marinade
Blitz the chilli, garlic, ginger and vegetable oil a food processor. Add the paprika, garam masala and tomato puree, plus the coriander stalks, and blitz again to form a paste. Place the chicken pieces in a large bowl, coat them with the marinade and leave in the fridge overnight.

    The next day…
In a little vegetable oil, on a medium heat, fry the onion, peppers and spices in a large saucepan. Cook gently for 10 minutes then add the tin of tomatoes and the yoghurt. Add the chicken pieces and simmer gently for 15 to 20 minutes until cooked. Just before serving, stir through the double cream and chopped coriander leaves.

Great on rice, Amazing on Chips ;)

common things that go wrong on a 147,

    Diesels:
    EGR valve,
    turbo’s die

    all models:
    thermostat,
    front wishbone bushes,
brake pipes corrode in a place that MOT testers dont look at,
    wiper linkage goes,
Mass air flow sensor packs up (MAF),
cambelts let go on twinspark models,
variators fail(a loud ticking at start up(avoid buying a car with this problem as it will need a cambelt & roller change which can cost up to £800))

    selespeed,
need calibrating, keep on top of this and they dont tend to fail,
people who say that the gearboxes fail, its normally the pump not priming this is down to a relay 9/10
the selepump does need replacing about every 100,000 miles, as the bushes wear out, new ones are £900 fitted, recon are cheaper obv.

btw these faults are shared by 156, 147, GT & spider

but you dont buy an alfa for any of this :)

Nowt wrong with HTCs but simple they ain’t.

Their entire raisin dettery is to be customisable, flexible, open, hackable – which is all lovely but doesn’t make them simple.

my mum is 56 ive just shown her round her new HTC, shes loving the angry birds!
