in a word no, insurance is all based on risk, so age, location, milage, driving exp. are all taken in to account along with the age, engine size and value of the car.

expect to pay around £1500 a year, I passed 3 years ago and i am 33 my insurance is £950 on a 2008 1.4 fiesta with 3 years no claims living in Middlesex

    Pieface,

My girlfriend had a 2000 VW polo which she wanted to PX for our current 2008 Fiesta, some point in the cars life The polo had a knock at the rear end. The repair job was shoddy and had started to rust, baring in mind we got a £1200 PX value on the car we spent nearly £800 putting the damage right…. We took the car to be PX’d and the garage didn’t even look at the car, they said because of the age it would be auctioned off….

could have saved a bucket load of cash!

Garages are interested in the sale & finance not the PX as they will just get rid.

Get a new one mate, you don’t know what a used one has had spilt on it, dropped, stolen etc….

plus if you buy new you get a one year warranty and you can extend that via, game, gamestation, HMV where ever you buy it.

Ive had my ps3 for a year now…. i love it, unlike Xbox! you dont have to pay a yearly subscription to get online

I have a 2008 Fiesta (one before the new shape, cracking on a long journey, easy to park big enough to put 2 mountain bikes in/weeks shopping/ 5 in a car/ etc, does about 50-60mpg on a run, and revvy enough to have some fun on a track day!

does me for my inter-county escapades

What a bizarre comment, what reality is that? Racers strip away all the faff to leave you with just your legs, and the pedals. Nowt more realistic than that!

strip away all the faff? like dignity, pride, and manliness? you can’t have any of these if you are a road riding, leg shaving, lycra queen…

    lot of love x

    Can’t afford Porsche:( I do like z4 tho. I reckon 15k would
    Be my max budget.

This is what you want. Porsche 911 within budget… cheaper to run than a Z4

This coming from an Alfaowner 😉
