I’d rode that woods section at a NPS race quite a few years ago, i was riding a Pace rc300 at the time so that tells you how long ago!!
I didn’ expect to see snow on the ground that’s for sure!!

First time i’d rode the Builth event so thought it was a good day out.

I had the exact same problem with Schwalbe Racing Ralphs, took me F*ing ages to get them square on the rims. Eventually i swapped to Maxxis Ignitors, they fit just fine in two minutes.

Same old Arsenal, another year with no silverwear……

XTR V Brakes, Grip Shifters. I really like the idea of grip shifters but they just didn’t work. It’ll be interesting if the new ones are any better.

Go for it, earlier the better, they either do or don’t take to it & no amount of effort on your behalf will change their progress. Our youngest was riding before he was three, he just took to he whole thing. Hardly even rides his bike now as he’s obsessed with football and has been since he turned five.

What about 9 speed shifters on a 10 speed cassette? Anyone tried it?

I tried following JD in the last check in the Beacon’s back in the late 80’s, I was a clubman he was championship…………boy he was quick!!

When training try picking lines that mean you don’t have to brake or very little,and keep it smooth. IMO it’s all about momentum.

The view fom the top of the Cathedral is good, the C of E one that is.

x2 for Aygo (or Pug 107 or Citroen, they are all the same car). We’ve had ours a couple of years & would consider owning two & ditch a larger car.
