Wehey, everyone made it this time!
IF this is a big success, maybe we’ll see 4x muted for the Olympics…

Don’t they crash a lot in skiing also?

Loved that ^

Cheers DezB – that’s a fair comment. He had a lot of influence from UK HipHop, especially at Uni, where he had some MC battles and joined up with a local MC crew. Voices are one of those things – you either like someone’s voice or you don’t. He plays the keyboard – and co-produced this with a mate of his Haitus <http://www.youtube.com/user/djhiatus>
He also raps fluently in French and Serb, which may sound a bit different.

This is my best mate. I did his album cover btw (in the video). Check his other tunes on his profile – let me know your thoughts. Album covers available for a small fee 😆

I did wonder about this myself yesterday when watching the B’mers. I could be wrong, but maybe it’s because tight aero matters less compared to tire choice, line choice and whether you mess up in the whoops or at the start gate. The scientists will always say that it give ‘x’ amount of aero advantage – but isn’t this more true in a 5 hour road race on open, flat road surfaces than in a 1 minute BMX run, where the line choice and tire grip is more important. And DH – where line choice and even the terrain varies massively on each run.

@clubber
– respect to Atherton, but pissed of sports people will say lots of things when they lose.
And image is massively important in cycling. It drives the business. Why else will the average joe spend £100 on a pair of shorts? For the “technology”? Please….

Was tempted to go with Marly Marl and Craig G – Droppin’ Science…
But then I remembered Danny Breaks, and this awesome remix. Guaranteed to perk you up mid morning…. RAVE!!!!!

Fair enough. Although if you need to take off your rear mech for any reason, a quick release chain comes in very handy. Gold chains are bit ‘Flava Flav’ for my tastes…

Actually, the others are right. I’ve been using KMC Missing Link chains for so long now I’ve not had to do this for a very long time. With KMC chains, you just pop out the pins, shorten the chain, then pop in the missing link – it’s all very easy, and you can remove the chain tool-free afterwards. When I had a Shimano chain, I replaced the pins and didn’t have a problem, but that was 15 years ago…and maybe I was lucky.

+1 for Fenwick’s foaming stuff. I spray a tiny bit on and then clean round the chain with a toothbrush for a quick clean. IF it needs a deeper clean, I run it through the chain cleaning tool. Smells like toothpaste, which is a bonus.

Yup, all the pins can come out. So first break the chain (ideally, leave the pin hanging off the outer edge of the link – makes it much easier to push back in). Then measure the chain by putting it round your front chainring and largest cog on the back. Find where it meets, leave 1 or 2 extra links, then break the chain again there and remove the excess length. Then marry the two ends back up and bingo.

PS – it’s a lot easier with a missing link chain.
PPS – your chain gets weaker every time you break it. FYI.
Final PS – yes, you do need a chain tool of course, but any chain tool will do the job.

Mike Ladd’s an acquired taste. Loved that albumn, not heard much of his recent stuff – but now I have Youtube to catch up! 😀

Here’s mine. 2010 Version in small, made a bit more trail friendly. Went for the comp rather than pro as it had a stronger frame, plus I’m not keen on white bikes.
* Ritchey hi-rise stem 60mm
* Fatboy Funn bars cut to 720mm, Odi Yeti grips, Clarks full gear cable outers in white/silver
* Specialized Avator BG gel saddle
* Gravity dropper
* Hope QR seat clamp
* Shimano MT15 Rims, WTB Velociraptors, Mavic C-lock/ six bolt adaptors
* Wellgo B54 pedals (I sometimes run clipless also)
* Drivetrain: Outer ring swapped for BBG bashguard, middle ring swapped for Shimano 36T, N-gear jump stop on the inside (hence front mech is a bit high). Works well, I’ve not dropped a chain since and I know my trousers, legs and middle ring all protected by the bash.

It’s a great bike. Thinking of 120mm fork, but that’s just a thought right now…
Oh, and I used Bike Shield for protection. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s self-healing and quality stuff.
