    Cheers

I knew it wasn’t spokebloke in the web address. I just realised I could have got it from his profile, D’oh.

As its been said it can easily be done in a day, i’ve done it both ways and prefered it anti-clock wise as you get all the undulating bits around the southeast out of the way but we always start from whiting bay as we have relatives there.

If you were there for two days do the whole island one day then for a shorter second day link up the string and Ross road, the climb from lamlash and descent into Lagg on the Ross road on a good day is one of my favourite bits road riding in the country.

I’m an ENFP and I’ve never looked up what that transcribed to and to be honest it does pretty much describe me. It could be a coincidence.

Everyone, but the poorest most. You gets what you vote for I’m not sure that the majority voted for this and i suspect theres a few people who voted liberal who’ll be shaking in their sandals

I’m a mild overpronator and been using asics GT-2xxx for 11 years, most years they are great but occasionally i don’t get on with them. Stocked up on a few pairs a couple of years ago so haven’t tried this years model. They change model every year and the colours every 6 months, so you can pick up them quiet cheap from Sports Direct or from the web. For your first fitting you’d be best buying from a proper running shop and paying the premium to get the right shoe.

I don’t know how much we spend on food, i know its much less if I do it than if the wife does it as she has no sense of budget or appropriate quality, its always got to be the most expensive brand or finest or sainsbury’s version. Internet shopping is worse as she can’t see how full the trolley is, she’ll easly £250-£300.

The worst example was when she went in M&S for a picnic for us and our 1 and 2 year old and spent £67 for one meal to eat at a campsite. I was so angry, we can afford it but as I grew up in poverty having to do the weekly family shop and know you could feed a family for week for that money it made me sick. Worse still neither me or the kids liked anything she bought.

I do most of the food shopping now

the middlewood way can be bit of a nightmare with a trailer particularly at between bolington and macc, though that end has the best surface

I grew up in east leeds just besides tempy. 20 years ago I used to ride my far to big Diamond Back Topanga around the woods I was the only person i knew with a proper mountain bike. I was happy blasting around never worrying about the size of my pack or if my no name tyres had the right tread. my biggest regret was chucking the bike in the tip a few years ago when drive train and brakes were nicked off it at work whilst i was stuck in hospital.

i’ve had mine set up like that, not loads of clearance at the back so ok if you want to put a skinny tyre on but if you want to use hybrid tyres you may struggle, the biggest i got on was a 30mm. Apologies for the seat angle and excess cable

I’ve always fancied doing the Macc supacrosss its held 500 yards from my house but i’m usually away at Christmas and I’d definary come last and break the world record for number times being lapped by Nick Craig and liam Killeen, which I already hold from Enduro 6 a few years back.

I was there on Saturday I felt exactly the same, however we'd only driven for 1 1/2 each way. But we'd driven from Macc which is on the edge of the peaks. I've decided that i can't do trail centres anymore and I have ridden a lot of them. I always get bored and just want to get the end. It not like i pootle round i do all the jumps and drop offs but doing these trail centres is not what I want get out of mountain biking. For me its about getting into the countryside and cover more ground than on foot to places you can't get on a road bike. I find the trail centres claustrophobic.

My mates loved it by the way. But I couldn't stop thinking driving from the peaks to ride in a wood in Birmingham was a bit like flying from Alps to snowboard in tamworth snow dome.

I did it last week on my ridgid inbred with low risers and those same brown grips looks great to me and makes a massive difference when climbing and when you want to strech out.

Tiger6791 I've got the same one its going back for 4th time to Omega as its died completely again. Mind you i do MTB, Garden, scramble, sleep with it on.

Of course a £1300 watch is Jewellery but to be honest it's a lot more more subtle than than +£4000 bikes that a lot of people ride on here and for most of them the "functionality" won't be any better than a bike that significantly cheaper.

We took our kids to splash around in the baby pool from 3 months and both are very confident in water now at 2 and 1. We had them at Alton towers water park last week and both them were on the rapids and under all the waterfalls. But when we asked the instructors at our pool when to start lessons and they said not until at least three when they can take instruction. This seems fair enough to me as I can't even get them to eat food without throwing at each other.

The grit and gears 2 is very similar to the MBR route don't do grit and gears as you'll be climbing up one of the best decents in the white peak.
(unless you like that kind of thing)

i've done it great route particularly the bit thay cuts off the snowdon ranger down into llaberis. We started from the campsite at the foot of tryfan best place in the UK to wake up. Over indulged at petes eats and the ride through the quarries was a struggle.

i'm similar height to you and I've just come down from 17st to 15 1/2 over the past couple of months. You need to be brutally honest about how many calories you are consuming it takes alot of calories a day to keep your weight at 17 1/2 stone. I wouldn't go mad over excessive exercise yet, an hour running is only going to use up about 700 calories. Where as if you stick to 1800 a day you are 700 under the recommended amout for bloke everyday and any exercise you do will then be bonus. I'd stick to your plodding your less likely to do yourself an injury and the lower intensity will burn fat (but less calories overall).

I've not used it but if you struggle with the food labels use something like weight watchers points as they've all ready done the maths for you.
