About 30p per portion if you do them in a deep fat fryer at home. And generally better than those you buy in the local chippy.

    No brainer.

Switched back to paper with books and magazines.

Just feels better. You can lose yourself and are not distracted in the same way.

Currently reading Dissolution by CJ Sansom. I’m hooked. Several other books lined up.

Subscribe to When Saturday Comes. Still a football fan. Love their take on football at all levels.

Love Groundtastic ( Football Grounds)- an anoraks delight…. I won’t deny it. Will buy when doing a groundhop weekend. I’ve done 357 grounds. Sofar.

Ocassionally read The Economist, Private Eye and the New Statesman.

Subscribe to the Cyclist and Singletrack (Sentimental reasons mainly) . Some of my best times have been mountain biking.

Very rarely buy a physical paper now.

I tried the laser treatment last year for my toe nails. It was about 4 nails that had been problematic for approx 8/9 years.

It took 6 laser sessions to cure the problem. So far so good and now can wear flip flops again, which has been a blessing.

To me at the moment it was worth every penny. Or £80 per session.

If not now, when? Primo Levi- powerful and very moving about resistance at its finest, dealing in the most of horrific of circumstances by Jewish partisans in Eastern Europe. An author whom spoke so many truths.

The Ragged Trousered Philanthropist by Robert Tressell- brilliant portrayal of working class life in Edwardian England. A left wing classic. The conversations in this novel haven’t changed much, although the fashion has.

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte- Love and passion can be very dark. Just brilliant.

I bet he is feeling gutted John. I know the sinking feeling. I hope that he has insurance to replace the irreplaceable.
