Got a few bottles of Cobra in the fridge. Maybe move on to the the bottle of Jura once they're gone. It's been a stressful week.

I do. Had a stupid off at a DH race in my yoof. Sneezing can set it off, so can lifting the kids. Doesn't seem too bad when out on the bike though.

Think about changing your printer. Something from the OKI Executive Series range will be much cheaper to run. Typically you can get a fully inclusive maintenance contract on an A3 colour printer including all consumables for 6p per colour print. See colour4less.com for the range that we sell. Not sure where you are but there is a very good network of dealers around the UK that will offer these machines. If you want more details then email me via the site and I'll deal with it one Monday morning. Not trying to sell you anything, can just offer some advice.

    Cheers

I'm running an on-one 853 SS with 26" carbon on-one fork and 29" front wheel. Steers fine, rolls better over roots than rigid with 26" wheel. Very happy with it. You could stretch a 26" tube in there if you're stuck.

Wouldn't have thought so. Last time I spoke to him I think he was struggling to get someone to mind the shop through winter.

You going for a pedal up there or bike shopping for the girls?

I've got a house full of the stuff that was put directly onto un-skimmed plasterboard back in the 70's. Using a steamer, good scrapper and lots of hard work are one way to get rid. When I do the living room I'm just going to pull the plasterboard down and re-board it then get the walls skimmed. More expensive but a far better result and easier for me.

Yip, you're gonna have to re-mortgage or sell an organ!

My oldest got a like-a-bike for his second birthday and took to it really quickly. They can get up to some scary speeds. He's now 4 and it's a struggle to get him to try pedalling his new bike (Islabike Cnoc16)

    Sounds like npower.

Have you had them bump your monthly payments up by more than £100 yet the when you complain the reduce them back down below what you were originally paying? They're quite good at that.

Glad to hear you're doing ok. Must have been scary there for a while.

Take it easy and hopefully you'll be back on the bike soon enough.

My wife has a Nokia 5800. She's had intermittent problems with the screen when she switches the screen lock off. The screen appears filled with grey and black across the way. It clears if she locks and unlocks again so not the same problem as yours.

I would suggest just taking your phone back to the shop and getting it repaired.

I'm running the same set-up as Big Pete here and love it. No toe overlap problems or chopper steering problems. It rolls really well over roots etc.

I'm running my on-one 853ss with on-one carbon 26" forks and 29" wheel. The head angle etc feels about the same as it was with 130mm revs and 26" wheel.

Singular Sam sells a rigid steel fork design for this purpose.

They did about an hour and a half set starting at 9ish, so finished about 10:30. A few b-sides then on to Doolittle followed by two encores which was mainly tracks from Surfer Rosa/Come On Pilgrim.

    Enjoy.

I was there last night. What a gig. Got home at 1:00 this morning, still drenched in sweat feeling a little battered and bruised. The ringing in my ears is just starting to ease off now.

    Funny.

Reminds me of some of the stuff Mark Thomas used to get up to. What happened to him?

Count me in your list for Dalbeattie if you don't mind a slow singlespeeder tagging along. It'll be good to put faces to names. I know Trekster and Andrewy33 but not sure about the rest.

They seem to be good at this. The bumped my payments up last month from £73 to £168. I phoned them up and gave them the gas and electic readings and they instantly put it back down to £73. Bunch of chancers.

A variation on the “hung for a sheep” one that my mum used to say was “If your going to get hung for a sheep you might as well sh*g it”.

Another favourite is “you can only p1ss with the c0ck you’ve got”

What size tube would you use for ghetto on a 29er rim?

I got a set a couple of months back with tyres and tubes for £100. Only using the front one but it's running true and smooth. I'm using the on-one 6 bolt adaptors without problems. You can't get the lock ring on but they seem tight enough with the hex bolt holding them.

I think you've got to wait until they've had the full course. We waited until our lad had his second lot.

I always cook my curries from scratch here too.

Myself and Mrs Sqwubbsy did an Indian cookery class locally a few years ago. It's very easy to make your own pakoras too although I can't get the hang of folding the pastry for samosas.

You can't beat the "beer and curry workout" for that all round figure.

    Hi

Can't point you in the right direction as to what MP3 player but I bought a little Samsung one from these guys last year, they were very helpful.

I've just stuck a 29er front wheel on my inbred with 26" rigid in-one carbon forks. I like the way the bigger wheel rolls over roots, etc and the head angle/steering doesn't seem any different to running it with a 26" wheel and 130mm Revelations.

    More about it here.

    Sorry for the delay.

I ride the 7stanes mainly as they are local. Mabie, Dalbeattie and Ae the most.

    Hi

I'm using the Supersonic version tubeless with a Joe's conversion. Not had any problems with punctures or burping until last week when I lost pressure out on the trail. It was coming out between the tyre and the rim. The reason was because I hadn't topped up the sealant since fitting them nearly a year ago, your meant to top it up every 3 months or so.

To seat them I used a CO2 inflater. It took a couple of days of topping up the air with a track pump and shaking the sealant around the tyre before they sealed properly. Initially there was jizz coming out tiny holes all over the tyre, probably because of the silly thin supersonic carcass.

Hope I've been of some help.

    Keith.

MikeT-23 I'm hoping to get a few years from kid #1 then passed onto #2. My eldest is bang on the minimum measurements for the Cnoc16 that I bought but Islabikes said he'd be ok if he was fairly confident on a bike.

    Islabike Size Chart

I saw a Cnoc14 on ebay a few months back that was about 18 months old and went for around £15 less than the brand new price so if we look after it we should get a good return on the initial outlay.

I thought they might not be that great for once he gets some proper speed up and we head out to Mabie.

So what choices are there for 16" wheels.

    Of course.

Marty kindly sorted me out with a Telly Savalas Players Club and a SSWC07 sticker for it as my son wanted a sticker on it just like daddy's bike.

    Cheers again Marty.

I'm using Joe's No Flats sealant with non-tubeless tyres. It's been more than 3 months since they were originally fitted so it sounds like they'll definitely need at least a top-up.

Not really that clued up on the trail / offset thing TJ, but it seemed to feel fine out on the trail.
