If one of my boys had been a girl then they would have been Amy Ffion. I also like Daisy but it didn't quite sound right with my sir name (Woods).

Castle Douglas is quite a nice place. Good for local independent shops, much better than Dumfries.

I live in Dumfries and in the right areas it has some good schools and neighbourhoods for bringing up kids. If you have family down south then Lochmaben(10 miles east of Dumfries) is a good place to live. Quite village with easy access(10mins) to M74. The primary school always comes out top in the HMI reports.

If you are after any specifics the feel free to ask.

    Yip. Do it.

I've been riding rigid for a couple of years now and love it. I'm never that far behind my mates on the rocky stuff.

Rode my wifes full suser last night and hated it.

I normally wash all my stuff at 30 degrees anyway so that should be ok. Will use soap flakes to be on the safe side.

Simon, what kind of minker are you?

    Cheers.

z1ppy yeah the MT500s were a couple of years ago so they may have improved a lot since then.

I had a set of MT500s. Didn't last that long, the ar5e wore out quickly. Now got a set of singletracks and they have faired better. They feel thicker and more robust. Sizing can be a bit different between models of Endura clothing so try before you buy.

    Hi

CRC and Wiggles are out of stock. Just ordered some today from Tredz. £11.69 including postage for the pint bottle. I phoned them before hand and they said they had it in stock.

Cheapest I could find as elsewhere were charging postage on top.

The BIG 30? Canny call you the youngster any more then.

Don't know about a theme but Debbie and I have made a good Homer and Marge in the past. Me as Marge and Debbie as Homer of course.

Agree with Trekster in that Kirry is a must and that Dalbeattie can be hard on the rider due to the rocky nature of the trails but is perfectly do-able, even on a rigid singlespeed.

I prefer Mabie as it's where it all started for me with Riks(bangin on) Sunday Muddy Sunday shop rides.

You're sure to enjoy any of them.

    Hi Warby

I'm in Dumfries. I'm away the first weekend you're up but could probably manage an evening ride round Mabie later in the week. There's a few good cheeky bits to explore. I'm not the fittest at the moment but working on it.

Trekster will be along some time soon and offer to take you round Dalbeattie and show you the extras there soon I'm sure.

Post a reminder closer to the time.

I couldn't find any shops that stocked them when I bought mine last year. I ordered direct from Pace's site. I see on they've only have medium and small sizes in.

    Not much help, sorry.

my oldest lad started on a like-a-bike at 2. it teaches them balance from an early age and makes then more mobile sooner.

bought the wife a magimix one at xmas. used it 4 times and the blue coolant stuff has leaked out already. while it was working it made ice cream ok but always had to stick it back in the freezes to firm it up a bit. wish i'd spent a wee bit more and got a better one.

If you want to use compatible cartridges then look for jet tec ones. i sell loads of these through my shop and very rarely get any faulty ones back.

I like Drum a lot but don't ride it often enough. Rik likes his roots thats for sure. Mabie used to be just like Drum back in the day before the 7stanes covered it all in gravel. there are still some cheeky bits left though if you know where to look.

See if you can get a demo on an OKI Executive Series machine, all their dealers will either carry demo stock or pull on OKI's demo stock. The quality of prints are good and the running costs are a lot less than any of their competitors, typically less than 5.5pence per A4 colour page including all consumables and maintenance.

The ES3640a3 is the model that is A3+ clicky linky

    Hi Grum

It was back in April 09. Our site is colour4less.com which is very basic at the moment but I'm looking into changing it soon.

Cheers for the code by the way.

    Found it.

Code I used was G030. Not sure it's still valid but worth a try.

We use dreamhost.com for one of our sites.

Someone on here posted a discount code where you get a years hosting with emails etc for just 30 dollars.

I'll have a dig and see if I can find the code for you.

Thanks for saying my green on-one looks ace.

Same as Big Pete, 29" wheel in a 26" fork. I think Singular sell a steel for designed for this purpose with a different offset.

Never had any problems with toe overlap, plenty of room for my size 10's.

    I've got one of them.

The bar height and head angle are pretty similar to what it was like running 26" wheel and 130mm Revs.

I certainly prefer it to 26" and rigid, rolls much better over roots etc.

There are chicken routes round the drops. You have to take it easy on the last descent as if you do hit those drops fast you'll be in the air for a while.

Mabie is my favourite but that's where it all started for me many years ago. Drumlanrig is excellent if you like roots, there won't be any facilities open on boxing day but you could stil ride the trails.

the roundhouse will be warm enough with the fire going. the ridge is now open and has added about 1.8km. try and take trekster up on his offer of showing you some cheeky bits as they are well worth it. the deer fence runs are a personal fave.

bent_udder: No, I got the wheel from on-one.

flippinheckler: Wasn't trying to be original, just liked the colour. If I wanted to be original why would I buy an on-one in the first place.

goog: Not a crap frame, just cheap.
