Also went to see it last night instead of star wars. 9yr old son also found peeing scene funny, 12yr old son laughed awkwardly at the boner bit.

77k doesn’t sound like a lot for Dubai unless all rent/medical cover/school fees/etc are covered on top. I have family in Dubai and their rent would have been half that salary.

Temperature gets up to high 40°’s sometimes hits 50° on summer.

We considered moving out too but after a fortnight holiday I’d had enough.

A mate of mine is just starting his own frame building company. He reckons about £1100 for a custom frame made from nice steel. I believe there isn’t a huge amount of profit in that for him. I would hate to think what he’s spent on tools, jigs, etc to get things off the ground. If you want to build your own then there a few companies offering frame building courses where you take away your own built frame at the end.

I had a client the other day tell me the world was flat. Along with stories that the smithsonian institute destroyed the skeletons of 36ft giants that used to roam earth, there’s another sun hiding behind the one you can see, the moon is a hologram put there by NASA and the pores in our skin are 5g receptors so we will all fry.

In the past he’s been quite a grounded fella….

I moved to flats at the start of the year having ridden SPD’s for about 20 years. I found that the grip they offer is greatly increased when using proper shoes like fivetens.

My wife is considering moving to flats to increase her confidence as she also dislocated her shoulder, broke the ball joint in three places and tore 4 ligaments last October. Only now got enough movement in the joint to hold onto the handlebars.

Just had my mums house done(2 bed end terrace) here in Dumfries & Galloway. Bought fascia boards, soffits and gutters from local merchant and got a local joinery to fit them. All in it cost around £950. The local “home improvements” company quoted around 2.5k which was apparently a reduced price as she’d previously used them for other work.

There was a diversions in place at Newcastleton last week when I was there. The Scottish Rally is in town here in Dumfries and is using Ae forest over the weekend so there will be closures at some point up at Ae.

I’d recommend Textra. Loads of features including the ability to delay sending messages for a few seconds(came in handy a few times when pressed send in error) and when composing a new message it only shows mobile numbers from you contacts and not landlines.

They do that just down the road from me at Laggan Outdoor Centre. Looks ace.

For convenience it would need to be Lockerbie or Moffat. But if you like wee local places then they 10 minute drive from Lockerbie to the Hightae Inn would be my recommendation. Really good food and an excellent range of beer, whisky and gin. Beware though, the owner is an excellent salesman when it comes to getting you to have just one more dram.

I’d expect all the snow to have gone from Ae, we had rain in Dumfries yesterday.

At under £200 you’ll struggle to get anything that’s economical to run. Typical coat per page on a cheap laser will be 14p-18p at 20% total page coverage. If you have to go down the laser route then I’d recommend something from Brother. If owt goes wrong then parts are cheap as Brother dealers only get charged for parts and not postage so a £1.60 paper feed roller costs just that. You can usually get extended 3 year warranties free of charge too.

Got a Denon DHT-T100 and it’s a real improvement over the sound from the Samsung TV sitting on it. Bluetooth music streaming works well but the main reason I chose the Denon was that you can get it to learn from your tv/sky remote so that you only need one controller.

LG G3? Got mine on release day and i’ve been pretty impressed. Not quite as snappy as the Nexus 5 I had but the camera and screen are way better. Going by the android updates my wife has had on her G2 and I’ve had on my Gpad then I’d say LG are quicker than Samsung on that front.

Come off at Moffat, there’s far more choice there. Several hotels that do decent food and really good restaurants like Brodie’s or Caudios.

Plus you can get yourself some Moffat Toffee if the shop is still open.

Try friendcaster app. I prefer the tablet ui and it always displays posts in the proper order, not just how Facebook thinks they should be.

I was listening to 6music when that came on, cool.

Have you thought about backing up your music to Google Play Music? It’s free and you can stream them on your PC or phone if you’ve got android. Just done my 450 plus CDs. Well impressed.

Used to ride an old racer with coo horns round the waste ground behind our house as a lad in the 80’s.

Fast forward to ’96 and I got dumped by a girl so spent a very wet weekend riding round Mabie forest on a halfords pile of carp. Went on a few of the “Sunday, muddy Sunday” rides that Rik ran at the time and the bug bit so I bought an Orange Clockwork from Riks Bike Shed.

Spent way too much over the following years but met my wife at Mabie as a result of those organised rides.

Haven’t bought a bike in 7 years but love my 853 Inbred SS.

Have you tried a factory reset? I know in custom recovery mode you can reset the battery data, not sure if this is possible with stock recovery. It may be worthwhile flashing the firmware again using odin. You can download official Samsung firmware from Sammobile.com. The XDA forum would be the place to ask for further help.

I use player pro for the stuff stored locally on my phone. Love the interface, way it will get album art for you and the lock screen widget. Worth paying for in my opinion.

I use Google play music for streaming my music collection from their server. You can upload 22,000 of your own tracks with the only size limit being a maximum of 250mb per song.

As has been said above, the first thing would be to try an new battery.

High Android OS drain can be an issue with a lot of AOSP & AOKP ROM’s like Cyanogenmod. It was always the biggest battery muncher when I tried different ones on my Galaxy s2.

Might be wowrth reading this on XDA

If you want to go back to Samsung stock firmware then head over to Sammobile

Have you updated the firmware lately? Jelly Bean doesn’t seem as good on battery as ICS. As said above google+ can be a big battery muncher as it stops the phone from ever entering deep sleep.

I upgraded from a desire to the Galaxy S2. It’s a great phone and very easy to root and remove network bloatware. The camera is excellent and you shouldn’t run into the low storage space issue that the desire suffered from.

Picked up the Cubika Plus last Christmas for £89 in currys. Only complaint is that the space under the head is very small so limits the height of espresso cups you can use.

I stumped up the cash and bought WinX DVD ripper platinum. If you like them on Facebook you get a 50% off code. Think it eventually cost me about £17. Worth it in my opinion as it decrypts and rips in one go. Plus there are loads of output formats, audio and video qualities, etc you can set.
