    really nice place to stay with a great pub 1 mins walk away, the only issue is it’s 2/3 miles out of windermere.

    I cant find the other b & b we stayed at which was in the heart of windermere.

    Lakes is perfect, its a really nice place with loads to do and some greats pubs for food

    Me and the misses went to fort bill a couple of years ago for our wedding anniversary, we had a brill time. we stayed at the Clann McDuff hotel, very nice :D

    Take newspaper to stuff your wet shoes with.

    Looks very much like mine. Apart from I am currently packing my entire wardrobe.

    I am taking all my mtb cloths, 2 helmets, 4 shoes. It’s all a bit OTT, but you never know.

    Good question, I dont know but in the early hours of the morning, I want water to hand for cooking, drinking etc

    I bought the Giant defy 3, and it’s brill, I have upgrade the wheels to mavic,

    yes got very wet, was wearing my 2 gore windstopper jackets and my waterproof so nice and warm, just very wet.

    It was an ok ride, don’t make much to jacobs ladder :cry:

    Am off to the Alps with the lads in July for 7 nights, my wife has no problem with me going away for that long and Am away for 3 days doin Mountain Mayhem AND I am going on a stag do in August for a long weekend, I guess I must have a good wife :D

    Get some Michelin pro 3 tries, very easy to get on and I use Park tools tyre levers (in a pack from CRC, blue one’s) which are great
