Honestly though, speaking as someone who builds with carbon fibre, send it back or bin it, if the head came off the tube is likely ovalled or the bonding area contaminated, and only USE will know for sure.

try the 5.10 Guide Tenne rather than the Hill Models, flatter sole, lgith shoe and stiffer sole, more grip and better for pedalling. Of course they don’t have ‘bike’ cred….

Who cares, honestly, it’s time for revolution. The system is crooked and we have ‘zero’ representation.

Frankly, if you invested in a bank, guess what shares go up as well as down, you **** up, you lost. There should be no safety net for investors, just depositors. And that’s the rub, all they’ve done is prop the banks up enough for them to continue trading and to hold the share value as best as they can. The didn’t do it to secure depositors funds. The could have done that for much less.

There’s no impact standards for the BS light test, not sure about ANSI.

The BS standard is brightness and angle of view, very little else.

If someone is ‘in’ your house it should be all bets off, end of story.

I doubt we know enough about what went on with the lorry driver. I’d put good money on his defence saying he was using the knife for its intended ‘sandwich’ purpose at the time it kicked off.

I have no sympathy for any one injured while they are committing a crime, none at all. They should be ‘waxing’ the steps at the Police station for scum like this.

    lightbulb puzzle.

The missing line is the ‘set up’ is that you are only allowed to touch one light switch twice or two light switches once before entering the room.

Its based on the fact lightbulbs have three states not two, off, on, or warm which = just turned off.

If you can’t pitch yourself over the bars with your little finger on your cantilever brakes then you need a lesson in bike set up, not disc brakes.

Carbon frame, i’d advise the touch of a brain surgeon. or get the LBS to do it then you can sue them if they screw it up.

The headtube is fine the reason the frame angles look different is because your photo was taken from further towards the front of the bike, and you haven’t used such a flat projected lens as Kona did.

    Triggers brush, cheeky bastards. ;-)

Firestarter, pay to have people touch my bike? You must be joking…

The rims cost about £40 give or take, swapping over is no different to any other rim, just tape it to the current rim, wind out all the spokes and then start laying them over to the new rim. 30 minutes for a front, a little more for the rears.

I do have spare spokes, 3 different sizes a couple of each, and i’ve never had to replace one in all the time I’ve had them, apart from rebuilding the front when it was driven over, they were toasted, but the hub was fine. Swapping a spoke is a 2 minute job.

I’m genuinely very pleased with them and see no reason to replace them.

Laughing my ass off at the Kysirium haters. Have you ridden a pair for a few seasons? Nope didn’t think so.

I bought Es when they came out. 18,000 miles, 3 bearing sets, 5 rims and about 6 pairs of tyres down the line, they are still going strong, day in day out all year round come rain or shine.

The only reason they’ve been through so many rims is because i live in the Peak District and Peak road grit is death to any braking surface, and because some bint ran me over snapping the front rim under her car, the hub still runs true and fine to this day, though i did have to replace a few spokes when i fitted the new rim.

I’ve never had to do more than tweak the occasional spoke to keep them straight and i’m still on the original freehub body. They might not be the lightest wheel on the market, or the cheapest, but they are one of the estrongest, most durable and easiest to service.

SO not bad for an all in cost of about £900, 5p a mile…

You can apply roughly 25% more power using clipped pedals that flats, and your pedal stroke can be smoother.
