75-120rpm on a road bike is most peoples most efficient- re cardiovascular effort, zone. No point with it off road, just train your recovery.

None of them are ‘secret’, not in the strictest sense of the word, she knows they all exist and that they each have their own names and specific jobs.

What she doesn’t know is that all of them are in a constant state of expensive, improvement flux.

Whatever you get make sure they have pins in the middle of the pedal, this makes more difference than almost anything else as it helps keep your bite even if your inside or outside sole edge is lifted.

I’ve just gone from dog heavy specialized pedals to lovely light Ti axled Superstar flats. They look great, but the grip is no where near what the Spec mag2 pro’s offered.

    Just a thought.

But there’s one way valves up there, and stuff, if you take a wrong turn couldn’t you end up inserting it into a bollock.

The 40’s are smoother, have a greater range of damping adjustment and are more easily servicable.

The only real reason for using ceramics is improved weatherproofness, and if like my bike yours lets water piss down the seat tube onto your BB then these are the answer.

No need to beat yourself about being a little slow, if you think about it for long enough I’m sure you’ll get there in the end.

My point is that a well manufactured spoke regardless of being SG or 2/1.8/2 Db will beat some no brand piece of shit.

What’s that Labour accused of geographical targeting, whatever next accusing them of writing leaflets in welsh for use in Wales. Will this Geographism never cease?

The 100mm 36 is the obvious choice to keep based on matching travel and race suitability.

But frankly, they are crap compared to the 40’s.

I have the Elixir CR’s on my Demo7, plenty of bite and good heat dissipation, the adjustments are excellent. My only complaint with them would be that if you one finger brake with your first finger then the lever can hit your hand when you haul in.

I’d prefer them with 2 finger levers.

But they are superb and i do run stupid fat sunnline grips

Tubs used to be faster rolling, but that’s not been true for years now, though tubs typically have a more aerodynamic profile and can corner slightly faster with more grip. But for weight, durability, ease of use and everything else go clincher.

Search around on the weight weenie tyre threads on the forums over there, they have links to the German TUV approved rolling tests, clicnhers came out on top.

Well, despite their promise to have the axles delivered by the following day, it’s now yet another day later and still no sign of them and no follow up from them.

If it wasn’t so late in the day, i’d bloody well drive over to Lincoln and them shame the useless feckers. There’s no excuse for $hit service.

Anyone else fallen foul of the Superstar pedals Ti axles unavailability?

f_ck her, move your pension offshore now. transfer a hefty part of it to another pension facility outside of the euro tax regime, you’ll take a hit on it, but not 50%.

And start emptying the joint account and destroy any jointly held CC’s/
