If you can’t ride to the top of Clough Lane in your middle ring you haven’t earned the right to whinge.

72mph behind a GPX250 when I was a Uni, you don’t half slow down fast when you let go and the wind hits you.

A return to a but of hand from teachers and the rozzers would be a good start. Ban anyone in public office from working for someone else at the same time, ban them from receiving gifts, ban their expenses and pay them all a flat rate. Let all the MP’s live in a block of flats in Southwark, it’s good enough for voters its good enough for them right?

it’s awful that your forks might e wasted, even worse that you’ve nothing to prove what you asked for, are you sure you haven’t got what you asked for?

if you know what you requested and this isn’t it then ask for them to replace the steerers/stanchion crown assembly. The DT’s are press fit.

I love em, however I was prepared to wait 5 weeks for the delivery of some replacement spokes for my new Mavic SX’s. But then i did get the spokes for £1.10 in the end which is about 1/3 of the list price.

But by and large if it aint on the shelf…

    PTE= bollocks methinks.

I use Spesh MTB shoes with Ritchey Micro road v4 on my XC and road bike, the DH’er gets flatties.

i run the n-flats with Ti-axles, beat the shit out of them and they are pretty tough, no ripped pins so far and they’ve skipped plenty of the hard stuff.

The difference between them and other pedals is the low COG, less pedal to hit and better pedalling action with reduced chance of rolling off them.

Apparently the Nukeproofs will be mag extrusions, so expect lower durability when they arrive on sale.

A Demo is a perfectly reasonable all-mountain bike, with a dhx5 with lockout on and a 36 tooth on the back, what is he a mouse.

I have mixed thoughts, if Ferrari want to leave, then f-ck em, who cares, on the other hand if all the other teams feel the same way then f_ck Max and Bernie, they should just go and create their own formula.

“Oh hang on, we’ll stop mopping up the paperwork from Friday nights assaults, muggings, rape, burglaries and robberies and pursue some random lad that may or may not be on a stolen bike.”

What’s the point of doing paperwork when you never try to catch anyone.

I think what you want to do is sell the bike to Singletrack world, collectively, we’ll all chip in, we own the bike, but will ‘free lease’ it back to you for the foreseeable future.

You get to keep it and not go skint….

I’m in for a tenner, anyone else.

I run old old Oakley Sub-zero arms, the ones that just attached to the edge of the frames, and a standard Heater in Persimmon.

they are flying debris proof, never come off, and no matter how far forward/down i tilt me field of view there’s nothing across the top of the lens to obscure my vision.

Unfortunately old sub-zero arms are now like rocking horse shit.

You know that little red block that you got with your bike/brakes, insert that to push the pistons apart then refit the pads.

I used to get Quinsy’s twice a year, every year without fail since i was 15, went on for a good ten years. i now follow a simple routine and have never had it since.

    1. Don’t pick your nose, you scum.
    2. keep your fingers out of your mouth.
    3. Alwasy wash your hands.
    4. Gargle with antiseptic morning and night.

change your ebay password, just in case you’ve been phished, and remove you CC details from your account for a while just to be safe, sometimes they’ll phish you but wait to use it.

and ignore the email its bullshit, contact the seller direct through ebay and explain what’s happened. Sounds like he’s straight up and 1005 unaware of the phish.

Do you want light, or stupid light carbon rims that won’t last two minutes and can’t be used in the wet because the road paste will eat them away to nothing?

    The things that matter are.

Durability: how long will they last, rim wear rates, breakages.

Parts availability: if you want anything to be available in two seasons time stick with the big brands who don’t churn designs, my Kysirium SL’s are like ‘triggers brush’ only the hubs remain.

Servicability: how easy are they to tweak and true.

There are plenty of options, if you want all season carbon that stay away from carbon braking surfaces, clinchers roll as well if not better than tubs these days, but are slightly less aero, and never buy a brand new design in the first season, no point being the guinea pig.

    Tubeless of Latex tubes..

I run 1.5″ latex tubes in my 2.3 Big Earl Wets, on my Demo 7, I nail the shit out of it and haven’t had a flat yet, used to puncture all the time with butyls.

As long as you chain is straight in your biggest and smallest gears and associated big and small rings, then its right. What happens ion the middle doesn’t matter because we all ride cross geared anyway,

If people look like being courteous, or there really isn’t space to pass without both of us taking action then I’ll pull right over and put an outside foot down. For the unsteady or large groups I’ll make superhuman effort to get out of their way.

If however they give the stare that says ‘you’ll be getting off that bike to let us past’, then i’ll do just that. Making sure i’m on the outside and the angular parts of my bike are on the inside, and i’ll be buggered if i’ll give them any more space than they give me.

It’s a two way street/path, some people have no interest in any form of compromise and see all other trail users as subservient to themselves.

    **** em.

A standard hardtail carbon frame, ie not cutting edge unidirectional high modulus carbon or similar will roll out of the doors in Taiwan for between £100-150. Something more decent like a nice Spesh S-works frame might be heading towards the £250 mark. (Might…)
