A couple who appeared on the "Grand Designs" programme had called their daughter ….. Beaver

Tom Holt I find a little unpredictable, I liked the better mousetrap and you don't have to evil to work here but found only human rubbish

Christopher Moore – The gospel according to Lamb and Dirty Job were entertaining reads

Neil Gaimon – loved the hangover description in Anansi Boys, laughed out loud

My favourite TP book – Mort (the 1st one that I read).

Did you buy one yet? I noticed Elliots seemed to have some good deals on Makita.

    Brentwood, Essex
Best – easy for work, close to London, low crime and some local singletrack through the very flat woods.
The road sign "secret nuclear bunker", still makes me smile…..

Worst – miles away from any hills, 4×4's gridlocking the town every morning from 8.30-9.15 and the same on an evening.

Had the misfortune to get knocked off twice within 11 days and I got a solicitor to deal with the claims. We agreed a fixed cost from the outset and it did take a while to get the claims sorted. The ambulance chasers will take your case if the personal injury claim is expected to be £1000 (if I've remembered correctly) but less than that and they're not interested.
As regards the personal injuries I got about £300 for the 1st and about £400 from the second. To put this in perspective, I was off work the day following each accident as my hands were fairly shredded (1st) then my leg was really sore (2nd). I did have some spectacular bruising, including the top tube of my bike bruised the whole of my thigh (you could see the cabling in the bruise!).
Hope this helps a bit…I've stopped riding on roads now !

I went down the solicitor route because I didn't fancy dealing with 2 insurance companies and it turned out fine. He also got my money for the replacement gear (both bikes were knackered).

Fantastic service, replaced my snapped frame and posted them back to me for £14. Replaced countless nose bits and ear socks as my other half is careless.
Just wish more companies were this helpful ….

    Hi Elsa
I retrained as a physio when I was 27. I had a physio friend who arranged some experience for me and I wrote to my local hospitals and asked if I could spend some time in the physio dept. Getting experience as a mature student shouldn’t be too hard but don’t be put off if they only offer you 2-3 days rather than a few hours a week, you should still take it.
It took my over 2 yrs to get on a degree course because my A levels had expired and I had to do 2 more A levels to get a place. If you do the A level route then expect them to ask for high grades (A or B), if you aren’t that academic then you might want to look at an access course. If you already have a degree then there are 2 yr accelerated MSc courses available. Another alternative is a 4 yr part time course but there aren’t many courses available.
Sorry I can’t help with the experience (I’m in Essex) but all the very best, It was hard to get on the course but its a great job and after 9 yrs it’s still interesting…..
    Hope this helps.

    Hi a-a
Don’t know why your hips are in such bad shape at your young age but there are hip resurfacing operations now that I’ve seen some amazing results with. A friend has had bilateral ones done and is playing squash and tennis with no problems.
    Good luck
