Have a reverb and had 2 in the past, had a doss (where can you get them for 160), ks supernatural. Doss was my favourite I like the lever and I never touched it in14 months, after that the ks and finally the reverb as I have had 4 warranty claims on them in all.

Recognised fraud this I have come across it at work normally involving cheques that don’t go through and people then pay out to a ‘courier’ before it bounces. Quite low value at £300 but still relatively high compared to your yeti, it used to often to be done on expensive cars

I am doing Ben Jones next summer, seems well organised, good route and he is a decent guy to talk to so hopefully going to be good. Package includes everything pretty much do you just turn up.

Try out 1 x 10 to start with as its cheap to do and see if you need more gears, I run 30 front and 36 on the back, 27.5 wheel and its fine for Peaks, Lakes etc. I found 32 on the front a little too much though

My mate is having trouble on his 5 and lbs said the system is designed around the 148 hub spacing not the 142 he has, not sure if this is true or not tbh

Newer generation mega, you are more likely to see bent steel and failed ali as there are loads more about.

My friend spent 6300 on a mojo hd3 used it for 4 months and now the swing arm has cracked and he is back on his ali mega waiting for warranty. He is not too fussed as he has the mega but for me I would be bike less and annoyed.

I am 6 1 on a large zesty fine for me although the spicy is a touch shorter with the longer fork, try and get a sit in them

I went from banshee prime to 27.5 zesty. Prefer the zesty as I found the prime too much, a bit heavy and hard in the tight stuff. Would go for another 29 though, really like the look of the new Pivot 429 trail.

I just got a debonair of Tf for that reason setup for my zesty at 265, I have fitted it and hope to forget it. Only done 1 ride on which it felt better than the fox I had on.

The roughcut damper is a big setup from the rl2, takes a bit of time to get setup right but I like them now as much as pikes

18 bikes are doing x fusion sweep roughcut for £380, I have a set and really like them.

Saw someone on the 29er rocket in the peak the other week, looked a bit ungainly to me, I do like the 26 though

Just one for me a Lapierre Zesty 150mm job, had a switchback ti as well which I would have loved to have kept but the need for a new boiler meant it had to go.

Got a road bike and Hybrid for commuting so space is a struggle to with the kids bike and my wife’s 2. The zesty is fine for everything I do and I no longer have to chose which one to take out (that chromag looks nice though)

I live in a 3 bedroomed stone grade 2 listed cottage. We have a single log burner in the lounge and a bit of additional insulation in the loft but that is it. Gas and electric is about £1,200 a year and its plenty warm enough.

As above a bike you are comfy on and big tires, I punctured twice in the quali this year and once in the race, lesson learned for next time. Great race.

Great event this really enjoyed the sections. I did manage to use my face as a brake on S1 which ended up taking me nearly 10 minutes by the time I had a few minutes to re compose. Effectively ruined me for posting a time (that’s my excuse)

Will give it another go next year.

I was successful in promotion in the civil service through this process recently. As above they need to know the competency framework and then relate that to things they have done which demonstrate the required competency for the role.

They will need specific examples and must focus on what they did and the positive result at the end. It is tempting to embellish a bit but if the interviewer is decent they will probe and test their examples.

Good luck to your friend, the endless tea breaks and gold plated pension await !!!

I have some and am really impressed after a couple of months which included a week in the Alps, tape is a bit of a pain but once done they have been fine for 3 tire changes. Had one loose spoke which was Mis timed ditch on the mega qualifier. Hope flows I was having to have trued all the time and never rated them that much

Destroyed mine on the front in a week in the Alps, sheared one of altogether and will not hold tubeless now

I took a hardtail got 2 punctures in the quali and ended up in the affinity. Went to Grenoble bought a Lapierre zesty then got a puncture in the race followed by a broken seat post which left me limping in 1h40. Turned out to be an expensive trip. Them braking bumps are something else.

Yes demoed the steel I enjoyed that one as well, the geometry is great but the feel is not as good as the ti. It is a lot less money of course. I have had a bfe to but that did feel dead to me.

I have a ti one, my only bike at the minute and I really like it. Appears stiff in the right places but definately not dead. My mate has just dumped his stumpy Evo FS for one, great frames.
