resting heart rate is not a measure of fitness from one person to another 70 is fine when fit if that is what you are. Mine is 45, never been fit though :-)

I ordered some 55 ‘s and they turned up broke and went back, looked on mojo clearance site and picked up some 2011 36 floats with kashima coat, fit cartridge etc for 600, done 1 ride and they feel very good :D

I ride on the pavement to avoid the tram lines for about 30 yards out of a 12 mile commute with the appropriate level of respect for pedestrains, cost me a £30 fine the other day and nearly got arrested for calling the policeman a fat useless …. when he just refused point blank to my listen to my explanation of why.

I nearly went for one on the recommendation of my builder but it came in a bit dearer than my local independant (who were really good where do you live).

I have talas 36 on mine which made it alot better for me than with the 150 revs I had on before, much stiffer and that touch slacker. I don’t ever use the travel adjust on them though so might change for some 36 vans later this year. Lyriks are good to I would just go for the one you can get the best deal on.

Just got the 6″ KS one which I have used a couple of times and a bit like the above not essential but makes riding easier and no mucking about with the saddle height once I have dropped it. I found myself going up and down alot as I found it fun to drop my saddle on sections I would have left it up in the past. Nice not having to listen to that grating of derbyshire grit in the seat tube as well and aqdjusting the clamp as it gets full of sh..
If it’s reliable i can,t see me going back.

It’s seems like it’s one less operation for the frmae builder not having to turn the thread into the frame.

I bought a bones and had to take it back as I could not get my heckler or mates enduro on it, got a pendle which is a bit more crude to look at, but is cheap, versatile and solid.

as above pain in the arse to change and bearings lasted for alot less time than on a hollowtech external, this combined with changing the rest of the bearings on my lapierre is why I got rid.

cheers looked at the butcher and the pivot assembly looks very similar and you only torque it to 35 – 40 in/lbs which maybe why I need to change it so quick as I tightened it beyond that.

I reckon it could be the cranks as they do sit very close to the swing arm bit of a pain if i need to change them.

I have the d30 six six ones in XL for my big knees which have been the best yet, the fox launch pads are supposed to be pretty good, couple of my mates rave about them and they are not that dear. Poc just seem to slip when you crash and need them.

I did a group buy from leisure lakes of 2 2011 hecklers and 1 five 2012 frame and ended up paying 850 for the hecklers with RP23, price rise means I did even better than I thought

my wife works in that trade and says do not worry unless you are feeling ill effects, everybodies bodies are different and the figures quoted are just guides. She says if you go up to 180 that is your max heart rate. 80 is just your resting rate and although fitter people are generally lower that is not set in stone.

Not allowed to do more than 37 a week with out taking it back as flexi which suits me, time to see my wife, kids and ride my bike. Like to think I am productive in those hours and much longer and my mind would wander.
Dad worked 70 – 80 week in high stress job and father in law the same they both died this year at 61 and 66, if I am unfortunate to not make it to or past that age I would like to think I had not spent the majority of my life at work behind a desk.

I have a 11 heckler, single pivot easy to maintain and with 160 fork on its slack enough. Prefer it to the spicy I had before.
