I had ks 950i supernatural with bar remote after about 6 months use it did not last a ride in the mud/rain without not working properly. I have a reverb on for 14 months and not touched it and it still works like new . The cable system on the Thomson does look a lot better than the ks though

I did the same but went all the way through on a set of Manitou s once that did knacker them. If that is not the case give someone like loco a shout structure wise they may be ok if not a new set if lowers should not be to much. Them bolts are far to long though.

The tommo memorial sportive from carsington. 125km which was 80km further than I have ever done on a road bike before. Surprised myself as I enjoyed it and might do another with hopefully a bit less wind.

They don’t travel the full length of the sanction let the air out and depress all the way and they should come up 10mm short. The axle to crown should measure 545mm

Specialized Allez road bike put me off them for 2 years.
Specialized Pitch not sure why but never really liked the feel and kept shredding rear tires for some reason
Heckler to short and could not get it to fit.

Pretty sure there will be many more

I was there on Sunday it’s sh.t now did not realise how much of a mess they can make. I really liked it as descent and only ever passed a couple of walkers on it who seemed to getting up fine. They have also done the bridle way from stony to eyam not in the nasty black stuff but there is already a massive rut in it. A complete waste of money !! Do they actually want to force riders on to footpaths.

I have just changed to a hard tail only and although I am really enjoying it I am finding it hard work for long days in the peak. It’s made me decide I need both, does depend where you ride.

If they have assets issue a stat demand them no response after 21 days winding up petition if limited company or bankruptcy order if sole trader/partnership. Will be quite expensive but petition costs come first in distribution . You must be sure they have assets though.

My bfe has 140mm forks on and feels fine, not a soul for biffers ! just designed to do different things. £329 they are a bargain.

Another vote for the dales if you do not fancy the lakes. I did a 40km ish route provided by the guy at the dales bike centre. Nice route and we only saw 2 other riders and 2 fell runners on the entire ride, interesting lunar landscape on part of it to.

(got a pint of yorskire tea in a cafe on the way round for £1.30 to)

Bike is quite long with 160 forks so you will have shortened it a bit and a lot less slack so willing to move more.

I had Rebs rl on for a bit just felt very average and not very stiff. The rct3 revs were in a different league so if you cannot get them I would get the velvets. I have some slants and really rate them and my mate has velvets which he really rates.

full suspension gone through about 8 in the last 3 years having had a chameleon for years before. Just gone back well bfe anyway.

Come to think of it I also got an i phone which I make calls on and text with and that it, may have been more cost effective to stick to my vintage Nokia.

I had the same decision a few weeks ago and went for the bfe. I ride in the peaks am 6 2 and 94kg and figured it maybe be better suited to my size. It is built with 140mm slants, big tires and a reverb. Done 4 rides and really enjoyed it so far looking forward to taking it to the lakes in a couple of weeks, not missing my full suss (yet).

I have just built up one with 140mm slants (520mm ac), a 55mm stem on a large frame. I went for a large and am 6 2 like you. It feels spot on apart from steep ups and I would like to be able to drop it down so your should be spot on.

My bar is a 760mm chromag with 20mm rise.

I have a reverb on it which I also think helps in the comfort stakes as well as some big tires. Run 2 x 10 gears wise.

some dick did it to me yesterday on the way to work doing between 24 and 28 on the flat every time I looked round he was literally 6 inches of my back wheel. I waved him to come round for a turn which he did not feel the need to do. I then stop at a red light and he goes straight through. Tw….t

I had the baros red ones and they lasted 10 months in the peak 1 – 2 times a week. They seem to soak up water and keep it there so got heavier and heavier. They lost shape by the end but I was always happy with the grip etc.

Just got the shimano flat pedals ones, look a bit sh..t but are lighter and more resilient to water. They also look battered though after about 5 months use.

I have tried several 66 d30’s, fox and kyle straight and in the biggest size of each found them all uncomfortable. Just got the nukeproof ones in XL for 35 quid ish from chain reaction and they are really good. Found them comfortable enough for full days.

Unless you are racing why do we need to go any faster. It often really hurts when I fall off now if I go quicker it’s just going to hurt more. On that basis I have just ordered a 26″ hardtail frame which I will likely sell as antique next year.

My Whyte t120, large frame, 67.5 HA with 130mm fork, 30.9mm for dropepr and weighs about 27lb built up. Its 6 months old and I have had since new, great bike I came from a 150mm pitch but for some reason I have decided I need a ti hardtail.

Not ruined :-) . I really would like the size they do not make! I have tried an 18 inch mmmbop which felt to short tbh not sure how it measures up against the 456. Don’t mind the highish saddle just don’t want it to short

Van halen – would not be so concerned but on all my other bikes I have got to within 1 to 2mm of using full shock stroke on a normal ride with the correct sag setup. 6 foot to flat is definately not what this bike is designed for and therefore I feel I should be getting more out of the shock. Hitting rocky sections it jacking back up and effectively slowing me down, if it got into the travel more it would ride better.

Normal man – going to give loco a call, cheers.
