3 months to get your bike is a .iss take their bikes are cheap because there is no margin for a shop. The time taken should be no longer than your lbs as you speak direct. My specialized road bike was a faulty frame whole new bike in 2 weeks. Mountain bikes are expensive and the customer service should reflect that

I think them banshee spitfire s look good low slack and not to much travel

Had a heckler to and don’t regret selling that either, not a bad bike just to short for me.

The bushes are about £40 from Burgtec and they will take about 1.5 degrees of your head angle and lower your bb. You can then fit a longer fork withouit lifting the bb to much.

I have done it on my trance, top bush only with a slightly longer fork, shaved about 2 degrees in total. It a cheap way of changing your geometry if your bike is a bit steep.

Its my 5 chasing machine :D

drop some offset bushes in the boardman, slacken it out and alot cheaper than buying a new bike (like I have done on roverpig’s old trance).

Now them lapierre spicy’s are different the only bike I regret getting rid off.

I would ask on one my experience of them is that they are a tight fit.

Specialized butcher on the front for me, easy tubeless and grippy. Only about 26 quid each to

I had the same problem on my trance it’s the last section into the mech. I extended it a bit and use a drop of grease on the cable end which keeps the shit out. It’s worked for the last 4 rides having been useless before.

I run the 10 psi which probably does mean it dives a bit more but I prefer an active fork and to use the travel and let the stiffness of the fork keep it tracking well. Great fork out the box for me

Hope look good bit pricey though.

I have had a set for about 4 months really impressed for the money. They are noticeably stiffer than revs and I have found the small bump pretty good now they are worn in and I have got the air pressure right (15 psi less than recommended).

Tried 1 x 10 for about 3 months and gone back 2 x 10 I just found it ball ache on long day rides and missed the chance to rest my legs a bit . Setup wise never had a problem with a front mech in fact they have lasted longer than any other part of my bike .

Cheers for the tips going to be over the next 12 months and am likely to stay doing my current job for a couple of days a week to build up slowly.

pimpmaster – sorry for the delay I have tried

661 D30 ones (iratated my knee as the d 30 goes hard when you pedal)
    Kyle Straights – to tight
Fox launch pro – to tight
Poc (can’t remeber the one) – to tight

and know the nukeproof which seem good (and cheap), most of my problems seem to stem from getting them big enough to fit my legs.

I was thinking of cytech for more credibility as well as giving more general bike experience. Judging by the waiting time at my local bike shops there is definately room for me. Will have a look at bikebiz

I have had both and the slants are much stiffer and for me just as plush if you run lower air pressures. Ac wise mine are set to 130 and are at 510 mm

Tubeless purg on rear and butcher on front. Cross trail wheels impressed so far maybe a bit of roll on purg but on rear and does not bother me. Butcher is v good IMHO and paid 52 quid for the pair not far off 1 maxxis

Saw a 7500 Bronson in leisure lakes a couple if weeks ago and asked them will anyone buy that bike and they said they had sold 2 the week before. Week after some guy was picking his up, he was in a very smart suit with a big gold watch.

Work for the government investigating bankrupts and directors of limited companies. Been doing it 4 years ran an engineering company for the 10 years prior to this. Job is not want I was originally told it would be, zero chance of progression and pretty dull tbh. Pay is pretty useless to, good job my wife can fund my bikes !! Only good bit is I get to ride in 12 miles with a shower at the office. Looking for something new.

Did a sportive with my mate and he said morning to another rider who came past. He proceeded to look like he had asked to shag his wife and nearly fell off. Some were ok but quite a lot seemed to take themselves and time very seriously.

I found mine felt a lot better when I dropped 15psi below recommended. A lot more supple and still don’t blow through the travel
